This is what Mr. LBM has to say abt 20k odd systems.

"The bare minimum setup which I can recommend to anyone would be
  1. HU (8k)
  2. Component Kit (6k)
  3. 2 channel amp or a mono (which is cheaper) (4k)
  4. one sub (4k)
The component will be driven thorugh the HU and the 2 channel bridged will drive the sub."

So we can cut 2k for a cheaper head unit ( i suppose). Only necessity in an HU for me is USB compatibility (I dont care if it doesnt play CDs even )

what say?

CHEAPER AMPS are for real cheap in performance. 120 watts-140 watts rms is not enough for SQ and to drive an sub to its good potential. i have tried many 2 channel amps. all in vain. i would suggest you to buy a powerful amp for time being and then when you get money then you buy a sub.
