Suggestions for a good ICE installer in Trivandrum

Hi. If all goes well, I'll have my speakers from emperor by today night.

So the next question is where to install them. Had planned to go to emperor for the install, but for various reasons , the trip isnt working out.

So where can i get my speakers ( 6.5 inch comps and 6x9 rears ) installed in tvm?

I've seen quite a few horrible installs done by local installers. I'll be hanging around to supervise the install, so hopefully, the obvious disasters will be prevented.

I'll need to fit 6.5 comps in the indica stock location. some installers have said that it is possible, but I'm not sure how well they can do it.

+ a pio 5050 ( the lowest quote so far has been 7k) + steering remote + mdf shelf in the rear for the comps.

Any suggestions ?

TIA

If you can't make it to Emperor, then Car palace is the only place I can think of in Trivandrum. But they won't reach half the performance of Emperor.

Whatever you do, please stay away from MotorPlaza.

So, what components are you having right now?

If you're going to supervise (and they welcome that), then it'll be fine. Chat up with the owner into your ideas rather than falling for his.

9870 is a beautiful HU. Why did you opt out of it? What is your current setup looking like?

Now, the questio I should've asked you in the beginning, Is it over? If yes, then ignore everything above and just enjoy your ICE. If you need any further help, we are always here.

got hertz dieci's all around. Was planning to get rainbow , but dad would have had to wait a few hours , and he wasnt prepared to, and to accomodate the 9870 ( he had only 18k or so in his hand then - we werent planning to buy the HU from emperor)
By the way, They = Emperor. I think it was Mr Anish. He said the Alpines sounded much better than the pios - the alpine , he said had a better amp and better sq than the pio

It's not installed yet, need to find some time
yup, planning to supervise. and mybe even take a few pics

Good choice of gear, greenhorn! Congrats!

It was definitely a good decision to have gone for the Alpine over the Pio!

Make sure you click enough photos!

What Mr Anish said is true.
If you buy all those nice stuffs and go to car palace or all other car shops in Trivandrum you wont get a nice installer.Better do it in Emperor.Dont do it from any of the shops in Trivandrum. It is my personal experience.I spend almost a lakh rupees for my ICE and i installed from a famous shop in Trivandrum and it was crap. After i heard so many other ICE setups and lesser price than mine done by emperor was awesome. From that i learned dont ever install an ICE setup in Trivandrum. If it is a very very basic setup go and install it from car palace.

If you want to install it in Trivandrum better buy nice wires and go home install yourself.

Although I dont have such a a bitter experience, I fully agree with the viewpoint.

The problem with TVM shops is that "they know everything". Naturally, they are not interested to listen or learn more...

But then, why offer gold when the customers are happy with silver?

just bought it from emperor. Dad picked it up.
No, he wouldnt take the car with him. prefers his tavera

What I dont know is how to wire up the HU and make the rear plank.
The rest I'm sure i can do/redo better myself. I mean , if i offer to do it myself , why should the installer refuse - less work for him, and I can make sure It's done right.

Planned to bunk work and get it done today. The powers that be on the other side of the world decided otherwise. Just carrying around the HU and speakers in the car is so frustrating

Try Car Dreams or so; near Kwodair junction/opp Salvation army School. . Helped me uninstall amps etc. Charge less too. Small shop and hence wont eat your head and purse!
