In fiesta, can we play ipod music by connecting the ipod USB cable with that of car and play the music, will it happen when we put a USB connector in the 12v supply.
as per me the ipod cable is only used for charging and integration with PC or it can be used to play music as well.

If you are referring to the stock HU in Fiesta, no it won't accept the iPod USB cable.

The USB cable that comes with the iPod (connects to the dock connector for charging) is usable with some iPod-capable HUs. In other iPod-capable HUs, there is a specific cable that comes with the HU, or - as with Blaupunkt HUs - there is a separate cable for it. In these cases, the iPod charges from the HU, i.e. +5V is supplied at the designated pin on the dock connector.

USB connector has a pin designated for +5V for charging / powering purposes. If you manage to somehow get +12V to it, quite likely you will have a toasted iPod!

The stock fiesta HU does not have a USB port. How do you plan to integrate it?

I want to buy a cable to connect my iPod to the aux-in. What is this cable called, where should I look for it & should I ask for a particular brand?

What kind of spark? Are you getting that at the iPod EP socket while connecting or disconnecting? I don't think you meant that the spark is coming while connecting at the rear of the HU.

The aux-in socket in the Fiesta has been fitted to the console below the dash. Certainly makes it a lot easier to attach the cable.
But I need to buy a cable first.
An accessories shop has quoted 100 & 150 for 2 varieties of aux-in cables. The Blaupunkt distributor has quoted 650.
Which one should I buy?

the spark sound is coming from the speakers when connecting to the aux in port of the car, i think the aux in wire is not getting fixed properly in the socket, do i need to take the car to the service center, may be an issue with the car aux port.

Sounds normal, can happen when you are inserting the cable. To avoid it, keep the volume low at the HU when connecting. If the connector is not mating, you will get interrupted sound.
