Good ICE for my Aveo . Really tight Budget, really!!

Dear Gurus
I would like to ask for a good ice setup for my Aveo 1.4
It does not come with anything standard in ICE
and I have to buy it all.
My budget is 10-15K (~ +/- 1-2K)
Requirments are:
HU with USB Support
4 speakers 2 front and 2 back (back ones should fit in the places provided . I think 6.5 inches??? dont kno exactly)

Also I live in a small town (Amritsar) and every shop owner praises only sony xplod , i dont kno why,
maybe pioneer does not have warranty

Give a good HU and Speaker configuration (prefably sony)
And if anyone lives in Amritsar or Jalandhar tell a place to buy them

Also, tell which quality wires to be used and which ones are available easily
Thanks!

Rahul, avoid Sony. Get Pioneer instead. Sony speakers are the worst.
You can easily get mp3 HU+ 4 speakers < 10,000rs.
As for what and where to by, PM scaryskulls etc., they can help you get stuff from jalandhar.

The title of your thread is in gross violation of point 6 of the Statutory Warning list:

This is a very greedy forum full of people out to loot you. If you come here with budgets of around 10,000/ the people here will make you spend around 20,000/- (I came looking for a system for around 10,000/- to 15,000/- and ended up spending 30,000/-) If you were happy with 2000 wala sony speaker before now you will become miserable with them. You might not be satisfied with anything less than a 6,000/- to a 60,000/- component system.
Anyways: found a couple of generic Aveo related thread in the ICE section
For example:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/ask-gu...e-up-aveo.html

Try the advanced search by searching for keyword Aveo in the title itself.

Yes, but the thread is of 2006 vintage.

@gaurav.
Hi, Gaurav. Firstly congratulations and best wishes. Which color are you buying? I'm going in for cashmere from CSD Ambala.

Secondly, I've seen two 1.4 owners today. Both had Sony Explod HU with Frontal USB input and Aux input (for ipod and mobile Nokia N series). The models were GT 670 and GT 740. (Approx cost Rs 7-8000/-) Here's the link:-

CD Receiver : Sony India

One owner is running a 2 GB Transcend pendrive (Rs 500/-) for the past 4 months on the GT 740 w/o any problems.

Thirdly both have retained the stock speakers for the front and put in Sony Explod and JVC in the rear respectively (approx rs 3000/-). However I suggest you go in for composites in the front also(approx Rs 3000)/-. You could also go in for a woofer (Rs 3000/-)

The sound quality was good enough for me as I'm not an audiophile.

Lastly, the best config is to be decided by you by mixing and matching the components.

Do post some pics of you new joy!cheers:

I know that the correct opposite of Component is logically Composite - but if you ask for these, you won't get a proper response lol.
No, it would be more normal to refer to these as coaxial speakers.

Recently went along with a friend to get his Swift ICE'd. He was also on a real tight budget. Got the following fitted on his car
Pio 4050
Jbl GTO 607 components for front
JBL GTO 937 ovals for the rear.

All grey and costed 11.5K. IMO this is the best bang for the buck.

Hi! I too am buying a Aveo 1.4. My requirements are:-

1. I need a HU which either comes with a inbuilt screen or you can connect one to it. (This is for the Rear view camera.) Any suggestions?

2. Is a 3 inch screen enough for the Rear View. If not, then I need a screen with dual input (auto switch on reverse gear). Any suggestions on model any minimum screen size.

The total budget for the above ie HU with inbuilt screen OR HU + screen is ~ 12 K.

3. I'm retaining the 2 stock speakers and will need two more. Suggestions on model and config ie stock in front door with composite in rear shelf or other way ??
