oopsy!my bad :Frustrati
yes AMAN was there too with his own FREAKING AUDIO setup in his car!
@green horn
Those were my earlier 4" compo's not active anymore
he(noidaboy) have a studio in his car:D
The compos look really good for Rs.4500 for 6.5" ones. What other sizes do they have?
Couldn't help but notice the boxed package says something like BBW. Are these sold in India by BBW distributors? I need a pair of 6.5" compos and 6X9's for my lancer and on a very small budget. Looks like a good option.
Any details on whether there is a 6X9?
yup there is. Warning- the site is entirely flash
Bull Audio
I guess their 6x9's should cost about as much as the comps :)

i had seen 6X9 in bull audio - i guess they were around 4k or less
Today i got to hear these components in Noidaboy's car. They sound very very nice. And at this price i'm thinking of picking up one for my car too!
@Scary and Noidaboy, congrats! Those comps look goooood!
Somebody please amp them and tell us how they sound!
Mine are running on a 600w 2 channel HIFONICS amp,Zero distortion at max volume, and i listen to alot of hip hop,r&b,remixes...they are bassy
Well played them all day almost full volume drove the car at 40km/h,stopped at all redlights, took the roads where i could find traffic jams The only thing i like about them they do not distort at high volumes nice, crispy sound, mid bass is good you can feel the punch in your feet. what else.. im just loving it
Since Clipto ji seems busy busy, I'll add in my review first.
Clipto and Abhi arrived late night after work from their respective cities. Apparently all the drama and hype generated in this and the previous thread made it too much for them to resist.
So we got working on Clipto's car around 11pm.
Both Abhi and Clipto appreciated the decent build quality on Bull as we were opening all the stuff. Midbass looks nice and meaty, XO surprisingly was a touch heavier than I expected.
So I opened it and checked for any artificial weight like Sand pockets or anything of the sort :D
Thankfully nothing like that.
Removed Energy ESK midbasses. Installed Bull ones. Didn't remove tweeters, though, as they were firmly glued onto the dashboard. Installed new tweeters beside them.
We didn't touch any amplifier gains. Fired the system straight away.
We didn't put back XO's covers but merely wrapped them in their plastic polythene covers and kept in the footwells so that we could adjust tweeter levels according to taste.
Tweeter set to LOUD position (It comes set to this position only by default)
System is fired up.
First we let it run at some moderate volumes but don't pay too much attention to the music straight away and head out to catch a bite.
I'm happy the guests loved the Dal Makhni and Shahi paneer at my fav. restaurant :-)
On the way back we head out to open roads to test system properly and keep adjusting settings on the fly to find the ideal sweet spot.
Final settings are made and tweeter seems better at SOFT position at higher volumes.
Time for observations.
1)
Midbass:- LOTS of it. It beat the double priced Hertz Energy in this regard with unanimous agreement. Tight, smooth and very pronounced. I'll be surprised to find any other Rs.4490 speaker that performs this good in this department.
2)
Tweeter:- Not bad for the segment. Silk tweeter is smooth. Very decent overall. Sure we missed some of the top end sparkle the Hertz's metal tweeters gave on certain songs, but yes, overall, I'd say Silk is the way to go. More like a jack of all trades kinda thingie happening here.
(Tweeter has swivel base in every mounting. Loved this feature, especially at this price segment. We used the wedge type mounting)
3)
XO:- Sturdy and Simple to use with a two position Switch in it. SOFT or LOUD can be selected based on personal tastes.
Other info:-
- Both Midbass and tweeter come with adequate length wiring. This promotes a slight flexibility as regards XO placement. Wires look decent quality and are terminated well.
- Now that I have seen the build quality personally and carefully again, anyone who says cheapo chinese or fake alpine again is NOT being practical considering the MRP on these OR has NO actual experience and is plain fibbing. Period.
- Quality of tweeter plastic seems a bit less than Energy, but then again, that's a plain unfair comparison.
- The MDF spacer rings on Clipto's car had to be shaved off slightly on the edges to accommodate the midbasses. It's possible that they are a touch bigger.
- Quality, thickness of terminals is even more than our reference set, Hertz Energy, in this case.
- Power handling on these may be less. But we cranked it up and the speakers didn't miss a beat. (They were being powered by a Pioneer 944 amp)
we removed the speakers early morning before Clipto was going back since he wanted to do a back to back test after listening to these Overnight.
Midway into his journey, he calls me to tell that he's a Silk dome fan now. Jokingly, he also mentions that Energy won't cut it anymore and he'll prolly steal my set as soon as he gets the appropriate chance and upgrade(downgrade) to Bull Audio. lol:
Dream on boy. Ur not getting anything from me. he he.
Am I happy with the purchase?
After a comparison to Rishabh's setup which I like anyways, I must say, I'm very much satisfied. If I find a better speaker at this price point, I'll post up. But for now, I'm happy with the purchase :-)
Very nice revew ScarySkulls :D Bull sounds VFM :)
Now can anyone review other speakers like the 6*9's and more importantly the SUB.
Also what about the availibility in other cities?
The passion shows dude.. it shows! Cheers to that.
Awesome review. The music matters, the equipment don't. The equipment just enhances the pleasure quotient. Dont let bugged up queries like "pics of xo's" etc bother you. just enjoy.. like I amcheers:
Cheers again.
p.s. this post is after 5 big 'uns of captain morgan so please excuse the anxiety:D.
