One man's wine is another's poison or so. Ain't it.
I didn't like the sound of Polks. They were too bright and had an undefined heavy bass for my ears. It's not at all recommended for a soft music listener.

I'll go with this.
In my case, I'll never recommend JBLs with JVC HU, at least.

Do you have some suggestions. My budget is under 30k.

I would recommend Illusion audio, Hertz, Bull audio other than JBL for speakers.

I have setup my new Palio SD with :

Pioneer 5050USB
Front Component JBL GT5 650C
Rear JBL GTO937
MDF Plank and Palio Antenna extra
Total 16K
Amp not required as the HU is quite powerfull with the proper setting it would work wonders.

Trust me it sounds like a charm for metalica,Dire Straits and Pink Floyd with proper setting of the HU

No point in investing further on for minute differences in SQ.

Being Honest, I haven't really heard the Illusions/Hertz so I can not possibly comment on them. THe only Blaus I heard were some entry level speakers which couldn't please me much.

Have you heard a similar setup with an amp?

The speakers are capable of handling more than 80w RMS or so and the HU won't be giving it anything more than 15-18w RMS per channel.
A good amp is very much required to use the speaker's potential to a better extent.

This depends on every individuals liking.
Some may invest thousands/lacs just to get a drumroll or a guitar note to it's perfection.

Also, any references that might help me get some discount and/or a good installation are welcome... Thanks!!

I agree totally

Definitely the Amplifier would be an upgrade on the current setup once budget permits

IMO the current setup does not sound bad at the price
