What is a ProSound Amplifier? Can't find a reliable link on the web.

The Audiobahn Special Edition sub is quite a rock-star, but you'll need an accurate ported box. They do exceedingly well in sealed enclosures, do you want to take the trouble of venting it? I think the ported enclosure size would be quite huge too.

something a little offtopic, if two subwoofers from two different reputed companies are of same specs, same dimensions in inches, have the same exact rms and peak handling power and same number of coils, same frequency firing band, wouldnt they sound the same and even if not exactly the same almost the same? i know a little difference may be there because of the materials used in building the cone, but wouldnt that be barely noticable if powered from the exact same amp and hu setup

makanaka,

yes and no. if the woofers are firing directly into the cabin you should notice some differnce esp if corssed over slowly or above 200Hz, if the woofers are in the trunk and used purely for bass reinforcement and under 100Hz the differences will not be noticeable. In any case if two woofers had teh same specs (all specs and not just T/S specs) and materials (and wre built to same QC/toleracnes) they'd probably cost the same.
