Hi Mr B,

Just a small question? the gauge of the cable from sub.. would it suffice for a sub-amp connection?

EDit:: my post was refering to your ealrlier pic of the inclomplete sub box..My post apparenly was before the new pics of the completed install was uploaded. The completed sub picture seems to have taken care of it.

By choise, I am a 2 channel audio person.
An Audiophile.

I listen to music very very seriously - at home i.e.

I am not into car audio. I just do this, because it is 'fun'

At home I listen to Western Classical, Female Vocal Jazz, Soft Rock etc.

In the car, I listen to anything except for Rap & Heavy Metal.

I prefer to listen to Trance / House / Club tracks in the car.
However, I will also listen to Mary Black, Rebecca Pidgeon, Kari Bremnes, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Elvis, Eva Cassidy etc. etc. There is lot I listen to.

But the set up in the car cannot even play 20 % of what can be achived @ home.... sad, really very very sad.....

@ Bhagwan ji,

Amazing install and equipments.

One doubt about location of amps.
Are the amps going to be covered? Isn't the existing setup prone to direct sunlight and wrong eyes?

I guess LBM ji also had similar location for his STEG amp.

Did the check [of the install] & set [head unit].

The Subs were incorrectly wired - polarirty on the XLR.
Even the amplifier end had issues - had not bridged the output.

Made the changes & will get the rear tweeter installed.

All should be go by the end of the day.

Yes;

They will be covered.

In fact I have just had the covers made with carpet + heatlon.
They will serve 2 purposes.

A] Heat from sun

B] Visual - wrong eyes as you put it !!!

Whoaaaa!!! that looks very cool, could you please specify the gauge of the wires used in the setup and which brand are those cables.

I guess you require a little vaccuming in the boot as there might be alot dust particles/wood particles/cut wire pieces over the installation process.

Amazing work really happy to see this installs..Mr.B soo whats next

do you insure your audio? i think even the insurance companies will think you are bluffing with that kind of amount to be insured. the way i see it, it should not be difficult to nick a swift at all.

I'd like to see the the amp covered with 'carpet + heatlon'. Can you please post a pic of the same?

I really dont know about that material and havent seen it.

Wrong eyes - I meant theives.
I think NishantGandhi too had raised this concern elsewhere in this thread.

Bhagwan Sir,

This effort is a superlative one in car audio perfection. Certainly fun too.

The hindi term 'Shauqk' has been taken to real high standards by you here.

Just to understand what all this means - within the compact confines of a Swift - would love to audition this set-up, at a convenient time for you.

Amen Sir.

Awesome.

All gear has been purchased with B & W !!

I buy my gear with B & W.
All from the Official Indian Distributor.

I am a very very strong supporter of 'supporting' the guys in Audio Business.

I have not installed any 'exotic' gear in this car.

If I had put the Brax Amps or Steg Master Stroke or Audison Thesis etc. then I may have needed what jesal was suggesting.
This is just mid-fi audio gear for a car.

I do not use this car much.
From hom to work - 9 km & back.
20 km a day - 5 days a week.

I have a very very safe parking @ home & in the office.

I use the RS for all other social & night functions.

Yes, if the swift gets stolen, then I am in a soup.
But I have all the serial numbers - have put it up on this forum too. So the amps & the components can be traced [not that we would ever find it] !!!

Thanks for the concern - I appreciate the gesture.....

Word of Thanks - Shafiq !!

This is a small note - it is a word of thanks.

It is for my installer - Shafiq.

He is really a talented person that worked very very hard with a brain & his heart in the job. I am really thankful to him for all his efforts.

I have put his picture here to thank him.

I suggest that fellow forum members may use his services if they so desire. He is expensive but will do a great job. If gear is purchased from Boom Audio then his services come f.o.c. !!!

I was satistied with the work that he did & the end result is good.

I will offer my car to any and all for demo / audition.
You may come and listen to it.

Write good or bad - not a problem. Just experiance it. That is what will make me happy.

p.s. The irony of it is that I use the phone more than 90 % of the time when I drive. It is the best time that I am to myself & no one disturbs me. Music is playing in the background; sad I know......
But for me it the pleasure of the install. I love to do that !!!

Thank you every one for looking. It makes me feel good !!!
