Hi all,
I just listened to Infinity and felt they were much balanced. Infinity 6902M (6902m) , Marine Audio Equipment, Marine Audio Speakers - Sonic Electronix

How is infinity as a brand?

Its grt brand. They are into high end car manufacturing primarily. Infinity Audio is just a part of it.

Go for it buddy. They are grt.

BTW watch this: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/sound-...bought-us.html

Infinty has beed around for a while. They are better known for home audio where they made some pretty decent speakers like the one review below

Stereophile: Infinity IRS Beta loudspeaker

I am not positive about the deal. The Pyle amlifiers are pretty low end and you can find them at that price on ebay.

PLMRA400

Dont really be tempted about the deal. Put some more money and you can get a better amplifier, for sure.

I know Nitin, they aint great. eBay has same price but shipping etc and time for shipping comes into picture. But for 50 $ (2000 Rs) they cant be worse than Sony right? Even a 2 channel Sony costs me 3500Rs.

Thats why was wondering...

If you are getting a Pyle marine amplifier for 50$, go for it.

Sam: How is the sound quality? Atleast comparable to Sony?

The link i sent you includes the pricing.

The problem with the pyles is low senstivity. I dont know, If you really care, why not add in some dollars right in the US ? You will get a good AMP in 100$, close to 4000...at the price of sony entry level 2 channel.

My point is, since AMP is the main component that will govern the sound of you system, be discreet about it. If you are going for good other components, dont buy the amp, just for the sake of it.

CLARION APX4240 4 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER 400 WATTS - eBay (item 190231921987 end time Jun-30-08 12:28:20 PDT)

Go for this instead. It will be better than the pyle, any day. For just 30 dollars more.

I have heard only one Pyle amp. It was dull, dead. See what the amp can do in bridged mode. I recommend it only to drive 2 small 10" subs something like in a 3 chamber 4th order bandpass box.

Regards
Bob (Sam's uncle) :-)

@madbullram, didn't you want an amp to which you could connect your iPod directly? None of the ones discussed, other than the Blau GTA280/480, seem to have that. Or have you changed your mind and want to connect iPod to HU and HU to amp?
