Very creative and innovative.i like the idea of the usb,looks neat infact it would help in placing the usb device in the cubby hole under the player like the sony tray accessory.

Satya, is it possible to have an additional port in the glove box, if we want to use an external hard disk rather than a USB stick?

USB splitter points are available which can be hooked up behind the player and one extra cable can be passed into the glove box, however I don't know how the player will react to 2 devices connected at a time, I have not tried it yet.

That is easy to try out.

USB hubs that split a USb port to four are available for 200 Rs.

Connect HDD + Pend rive to USB Hub. Connect USB hub to HU like any other USB drive.

If that works [I. HU identifies and scans both devices] then you can go all the way and get it done properly.

also most players read pendrives not external HDDs

If the external HDDs are formatted FAT32, most HUs with USB input should read it.
