Congrats on the new accquistion
I am sure you would enjoy the system
Which Amp n Speakers are you using ?
I got a 814 2 months back for my innova
my sole reason was the detachable panel in this 2 Din System
Its mated to a Ground Zero Amp and Illusion electra speakers
The Sub woofer is Ground Zero with a Panasonic Amp
Ground zero cables + Noisekill damping complete the setup
Its sounds quite natural and pleasing to my ears

Guys,

Can some one tell me the difference between
AVX 800, 814 and 815.

I understand that the most preffered model by
people here is 800. The reason as far as I
understand is that 800 has more tuning options.
By tuning/audio options, I would like to know
what those are, so that I can decide if it is
really worth going for it.

814 has touch sensor, motorozied/detachable
face plate. Where as 800 does not.

800 is 2007 model and 814 is 2008.

Now I spoke to one of the shops in Hyderabad and
they say there is 815 which is 2009 model.

The problem though is,
815 is 24.5k,
814 is 24k,
800 is 24.5k

I would like to know if 815 is really a 2009 model
and if it is superior to 814. Also if it really
makes sense to go for 800 especially given that
the price of 800 is the same as 815.

Please give me your suggestions.

Thank you.

Hi All, I too have a JVC 814 with the detachable face panel. This is mated to a Blaupunkt amp which drives a JBL sub and rear oval Pioneer ovals. The front is a mated to a Pioneer amp which drives the front JBL component speaker system. Phew....that was like a marriage of all the audio makers in the world. The output is awesome!!

Which is the right way to connect a Sub woofer to the JVC AVX800, I mean which is the right way to connect the RCA cable to the unit. My problem is, there are options to switch off the subwoofer from the unit. But that does not work, even if i switch it off the subwoofer keeps running. I had a small doubt if that could be because of the RCA connectivity. The line outs in the avx 800 are as follows
JVC AVX Series Thread-avx800.jpg
There is only one out for the Subwoofer unlike the rear and front outs. i'm not sure how mine is connected, but would like to know the right way.

avx 800 wanted

Hi guys,

Iam a new member joined recently, iam looking for an AVX 800 for my honda city. i have AVX 2 installed in it and wanted to upgrade it.

I cannot find a single unit in ahmedabad market. they only have 814 and 810 which does not support 5.1.

Please help.

Also can you also guide me to bring good bass effect in my car because it is the new model honda city , i have installed 2 kicker comps , with pioneer mono amp , a sound stream 720 amp for 2 speaker (pioneer 6990 ) at rear and 2 jvc cnetre speaker , and a sony 2 channel amp for the phoenix gold component speaker for front, amps are supported with 1 fd sound stream power saver.

this system was awsome in my old 1999 model honda but i am not able to get even 25 % of the effect in this new one. Please tell me what should i do.

Your help and guidence would be highly appriciated.

Regards,

Maunish

Probably nothing wrong with the way you've connected the sub. Quite a few of the JVC AVX HUs have this issue. You are not the only one.

Thanks Gunbir ji, The subwoofer does sound good. But i still wonder how the two RCA leads were connected to the single lead from the HU.

Thanks in advance .
Please make sure that you finalize the CD. Dont use multisession, use only single session.
I normally use MMC Card 1 GB for my JVC706. I bought 2 MMC of 1GB @ 160RS each. I also can update the songs from my Laptop as I wish...
