Congrats on the upgrade. Which series Boston comps are these?

If you are not already using an amp, use a small amplified bass tube, or get some customization done to install a small 8" sub on the side of the trunk with a 2-channel amplifier.

Nope

You read correctly. Didn't want to drill any holes in the front, so no composite tweeter.

The coax's work great though. Much more audible in the front vs. the Illusions (have to fade the rears a bit for it to sound balanced) with reasonable crisp sound.

I bet the 4 channel amp + Sub will change the nature of the sound completely

What about a 5/6 ch amp and a sub. This way all speakers will be driven by an proper amp.

Sure, but the fronts are reaaaally loud right now. Still, worth a second look.

For now, the Amp we've targetted is the JBL 604 JBL Car & Marine Audio
