I Don't think you have much of an option,
The Illusion EL4.1 can be the choice.

I would suggest you too go for 4" coaxial rather than 4" components.

Sory i misread it as coax!,

4" compos? would not really help you on the stock dash location,go for coax instead

I would highly recommend a 6.5" component system for the front.
Here's a setup in an alto: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attach...y-100_1020.jpg

Yes, go a step ahead and opt for the 6.5" comps as suggested by Nitrous. I hope the space is not too compromised after this installation.

first of all, rest assured that comps and coax would differ a lot price wise, quality (clarity and output) wise. It always make sense to opt for comps.

go in for JBL 607C 6.5" front comps. you may find this speaker at a very good deal these days or Illusion electra 6.1 6.5" comps (around 6K), you'll be amazed.

If you want to maintain the stock location, I recollect that there is one guy from pune who's installed Illusion electra 4.1 and was amazed by the clarity and the ouput.

i have used blau compose earlier with JVC 4" coax instead of balu 5" compos speaker.
i was really amazed with the sound and clarity. but later after few month my both tweeter form blau compose blew. dont know why.
so now i am just left with JVC coax 4" hooked up with balu compo unit. powered with alpine amp.

i dont want to go for the coaxials but want to install compos, ( its kinda disease, you cant think of going out of this) .

so, for now i have short listed the illusions EL 4.1 and kickers 4" compos. i can spend around 5k.
so, which one should i go for kickers or illusions?

and i dont want to use anyother size than 4" as i dont to install them in stock locations only.

Ur call,monty.
But,The reason Im asking you to lose the stock location is because the 6.5"s make so much of a difference wrt to Mid bass that you'll be grinning from ear to ear that you made the choice.
A 4" would be a plain compromise and while the high freq Sound quality would be there, the mid bass(80hz-125hz) will be totally lacking.
You will feel totally disappointed after listening to a 6" setup in a similar alto.

So,think twice and take a call.

actually i have 2 12" subs at the back so i dont normally use speaker for bass or mid rang. i have tuned my subs to give me good bass. so as for now i dont have bass comming out of my any of the speakers ( i.e my coaxials at rear or 4" coaxial in the front)

i just want the bass comming out of my subs only, beacsue when i turn up the volume, sumtimes the speakrs cant handle some frequencies of the bass, but the subs can. and when this happens all u hear is crappy sound from speakers.

i am even planing to remove my coaxial from back and use component system there as well to get more sound quality.

Well then you need to HPF the speakers at 80hz or 100hz in the case of 4" coax.

Its better to get 6.5" compos rather than 4" IMHO.
