spicing up the ice in my esteem. need help.

hi guys. my esteem has a kenwood head unit and 4 speakers. 2 in the dash and 2 in the rear. all this came factory fitted as mine is a 2003 vxi. the head unit has just got a cassete player but i have coupled it with a fm transmitter so now i can play mp3 songs from my pendrive. the stock speakers give decent output but are not very loud. this system of mine lacks bass. the problem is that my budget is limited to just 5k. can you all suggest some nice stuff to spice it up.

i think all u can get in 5k is a set of good oval sprs for the rear shelf but to not much avail as the head unit is inferior.. i suggest you up your budget by around 3 k more to get respectable sound.. the front speakers are not that great but considering ur measly budget they will suffice

i can do with these stock speakers of mine just want more bass. how do i do that? i know a sub woofer wont be possible. how about a bass tube? is it cheaper than a sub woofer? does it need an amp?

i am gonna sell this car in around 6 months from now but still want this upgrade till then.

You can go in for a basic amp + subwoofer type upgrade to increase the bass.

At your budget, something like a Blaupunkt GT 2 with a JBL grey market subwoofer driver.
