Getz ICE'd: Kichdi of many brands but it sounds Great !!

Friends.!

This is my first thread in this section in 4 years.

Yes, its a kichdi for a ICE noob like me. No two things of the same brand has gone in but the end result is fantastic. Thanks to audio gurus on TBHP.

Setup
HU - ECLIPSE 3100
Front - Illusion Electra 6.1
Rear - GZ Titanium
Amp - JVC 3500 4x 55rms (taken from zen)

Damping - LBM KILL (some new brand i think)

I will only comment on HU as review of the rest of the things has been posted many times on forum..

Why eclipse?
Wanted something other than Pioneer. I was too bored of them. Alpine was turned out to be out of my budget. Wasn't too confident of spending 10k on Kenwood or JVC. Then came ECLIPSE.
Frankly, i had never heard of this brand before until, i called up Zak for advise. Without a second thought he shouted ECLIPSE. Then i googled and read a lot about eclipse and everywhere it had good reviews. That was it !! Now, i wanted ECLIPSE...Tried sourcing through my cousins abroad but all in vain and in the end it was Zak who came to the rescue.

Eclipse reached my hands after a long tour down south so due to lack of time i had to get the rest of the stuff fitted over the weekend and LBM offered me a used Pio 2DIN P5000 for a few days until i get the Eclipse....
Couple of days later i had the Eclipse installed and the difference in sound was quite noticeable. Pio had more of BOOM BOOM and Eclipse was sweet and clean..
Installing Eclipse was a funny experience where all of us including LBM and installer were searching for the manual as none of us had any clue how to play around with the settings..
Finally 2 days later LBM broke into the settings menu and did his magic.

Awesome sounding Compos but they are useless if u dont have an amp and damping... Other CRDi in the family runs Illusion without amp and damping. I know the difference..

Dont ask me the dimensions. Designed by LBM..All i know is that it takes up lots of space in the boot. lol

Some new damping brand - LBMKILL

While ejecting the CD, the motorised front panel of Eclipse stretches out a longggg way...

Many congratulations, kpgetzes!

Enjoy the music.

If you have any spare LBM-Kill, keep it handy. I am sure you will get a few buyers in your part of the country.

Congrats KPgetz nice to see the stuff installed. BTW I wish I had changed my mind earlier and the kept it with me . Prabhuav in-fact made me an offer of the ECLIPSE or a bottle of Black Label.
