I'd have to look, backseatdriver, but will PM me once I have something.

@panky, are you sure the old Pioneer series don't have this problem? Also, what about the Random is not really Random issue?

@phamilyman, you have other options e.g. Kenwood.

No.. Given these budgets, you can safely opt for Pio 6950/7950. FAAAR better than the new Pio XX50 series! better display, better features, better sound.
Thats debatable......plus its difficult to get hold of the old series now.

How many songs (ie, what %age) is the HU not able to read ?
Well in my case its just 2-3 %.

Well..as he said..its only about 2-3% but really annoys me coz u may never know which song it won't play.Like, u wil certainly have a list of favorites in your collection rite and if ur player doesn't play those ones you wil really go mad wouldn't you?atleast i will!!! i tried repairing and all those things...but that doesnt help...the only way that worked for me was converting them to wma format.and the best part is it plays 2 songs from the album i downloaded...it wont play the other 4 ones which i really wanted to hear!

Pioneer 3050UB restarts when run over potholes

I have a pioneer 3050UB in my M800 and whenever the car goes through a bump, the system stops playing and starts again. Has anybody faced this issue, and what can be done to avoid this.

I thought the front USB was the cause, but even when in AUX mode the same thing happens.

Any thoughts on this will be of great help.

Probably a loose wire somewhere. Get your installation checked.

Thanks for the response.

Checked the wiring and it all looks to be fine, but still the same issue.

Another time when the system restarts is when I touch the joystick on the HU. But this does not happen all the time.

Any thoughts.

My post may seem OT regarding the restart of the HU while going over bumps, while this topic speaks about difficult reading certain MP3. I too am facing the the MP3 reading problems but this is something totally different from that.

But I had initially filed as a seperate topic but was merged by the admins citing the issue is with same HU.

I think that is a solution. Even i have 3050UB and it didnt play a particular album. Same problem which you mentioned, the light on the USB drive flickers, but its just doesnt play.
Then, I tried a software called MP3Tag to remove all the tags from the files (including the clipart) and then tried to play it in the HU. This time it played absolutely fine!
