Can I move Alpine from NHC to Getz?

I am planning to move the Entire factory fitted Alpine system from the NHC to getz. (HU+ speakers ) few installers told me that this can't be done as city speakers have plastic bracket which will be broken while taking out the speakers. But some told me this can be done using some spacers.

What is the truth?

Also from the first day I new the factory fitted system in NHC can be improved , but for my test , the speakers / system was ok for normal mp3 bollywood songs. But when I looked at the size of the magnet for the factory fitted spekars I was like . The magnet size is very small but compared to that the sound was good. Anybody know what is the company for those speakes?

Shifting the Alpine HU should not be an issue at all. There is no point making any effort to move the speakers though, simply cuz it's not worth it. Get some decent aftermarket speakers (JBL is an option) and enjoy your system at it's full potential.

Cheers!

Dont know about the speakers but the head unit can be put in your getz for sure.

I guess the company speakers too are from Alpine.

( Guru's may help you more on the speakers part)

Please! its a more superior brand

And I think your installer is right abt the clip part. Maybe an expert will be able to take it off without breaking the clip.

Will suggest that you park the vehicle on an incline and then use these speakers as stoppers to prevent the vehicle from running downhill.

Try releasing hand brake and check if car is indeed stationary after you have done as above.

Company speakers are not Alpine. They're some very very cheap plastic speakers. One will be amazed to see it outside. Will suggest to follow JK's advice and put it to some good use.

LOL , ok If this is the quality of the speakers , I can't wait to see what JBL component in front + JBL oval in rear ( with cross over) will do the magic in NHC

Please suggest me the speakers for the same.

1) I will not change HU in city
2) I listen to indian classical almost 90% of time
3) My max budget for the speakrs only will be 8k-10k.

I will put 5.25 JBL in getz (all four doors)+ some basic pioneer HU. Bugget 12k max.

Any suggestions?

well if its classical i would suggest an all polk setup. the brightness and warmth will suit your application well.

I'd say audition some speakers only

JBL 608 components for the front + JBL GTO 937/938 ( Rear fills ) will be a good combination and will fit your budget perfectly

But before choosing any , audition some of the combinations

Valhallen did mention brightness as well.

BTW did you know that in the "old days" Polk used to demo their (Home audio) speakers using classical music. I am talking about their old Monitor, SDA ans SRS/CRS stuff. The SRS in particular used to shake walls when fed with the canons in the 1812.

They don't call him the ICE god for nothing now, do they? He even has his own language, which most mere mortals are totally incapable of comprehending

But seriously, Classical music on Polks! SHUDDERS
