Problem with Radio Tuning

hi Gurus

i have installed Pioneer Hu in my i10 and right from the day it has been installed, i am not able to keep the radio frequency settings. it comes to default everytime i switch off my car. i have to search it all over again everytime.

is it a problem with the installation or wiring ?

can you pls help.

i am not able to find this particular problem anywhere and if mods find, can you pls add this post out there please.

thanks

while the tuner source is selected, press the function menu and select BSM.
it'll scan for the most strong frequencies and store them in the memory.

i have done all of that and even tried the manual settings. but it just disappears every next time i start the car.

i mean the channels do not remain stored in the memory.

Lemme explain what has happened.
Happened with my octavia too.(Alpine)

Your main wiring (used to power) has been connected to the storage/memory wiring and vice - versa ( i hope the names are correct)

Go to the dealer. Tell him this.
I'm sure he will interchange two wires and everything will be back to normal

It does seem that the 12V constant power & the 12V switched power wires have been wrongly connected. However, this is less likely to happen if a custom wiring harness is used, as the wires are colour coded. You need to check if your installer has skimped on the harness & cut into your car's wiring. Ouch!

Thats what happened with mine.
Because i was not able to get my radio stations after the keys would have come out of the car and re-inserted.
I would recommend you to go your installer and get this thing corrected.
