vRs(q)® Monster : Eclipse | Illusion Audio | Harman Kardon | Stereo Integrity

Finally
After Disturbing the guru's many times , auditioning rides of many people ( including hellspawn , panky12345 and other non-tbhp members) , and a wait of 3 months and 11 days , finally my vRs ( LAAL PARI ) got Deviled ( ICED) yesterday.

Here's how it all started.

Confirmation from Dad of getting the ICE done.
Budget : Rs. 70000 dot.

3rd October 2008 :
Called up LBM
LBM Came to lajpat nagar to give us ( beanstalk_230 and me) audition.

Called up Panky12345 - Fixed sunday for the audition.

4th October 2008 :
Went to Driven , met Gunbir , took a quote and auditioned venkat's ( not sure about his presence on the forum) and Abhimanyu's ( Hellspawn) ride .

5th October 2008 : Met Panky12345 for the audition.

6th October 2008 : A friend was in town and had installed IDMax in his ride . Auditioned that.

7th October 2008 : Was clear what i wanted

ELIMINATION CHAMBER

SUB :

IDQ , IDv2 , IDMAX - The kick wasnt as much as i got in the Ground Zero and that's the thing i wanted

AMP : Was pretty much inclined to GZ JBL combo as it sounded pretty good on Panky12345's ride.

Components :
Rainbow Components - Good
Illusion Components - Good But laid back
JBL Components - Great and amazing VFM too.

8th october 2008 : Called up LBM to prepare a quote and he presented me with one.

9th october 2008 : Went to shop around a bit , got some quotes on the stuff

10th october 2008 : Go over to buy the following stuff

  • JBL GTO 14001
  • JBL GTO1004e
  • JBL GTO 608c
  • ALPINE KCA-420i

16 October : Got a message from LBM about the arrivals of the sub
Can't wait any longer

19th october : the day has finally come , my laal pari will have a devilish side to it after some hours.

11 am : Reach Freedabad after chasing yayatti for some time.

See the Subs , 100w smile.

See the enclosure ready , 200w smile.

LBM Arrives and checks where to install amps etc.
Meanwhile , subs are being mounted in the enclosure.

LBM cuts a peice of cardboard to take the measurement of the wooden box which is to be fitted for an amplifier to be placed on it. ( Excellent thinking i must say)

While the work is in progress , My driver is there to see the whole process.

While LBM , Beanstalk_230 , yayatti , shadewalker ( aka archit , not on this forum) , Harsh87 ( or 78) , Smokkin and I , left for LBM's office for a gaming day.

later joined by Siddharth ( AZA ) and Faithless

Played : Counter Strike source , Unreal Tournament : had loads of fun

We ate a total of 6 large pizzas and drank 6 2.0L bottles of Soft Drinks amongst us. ( BURP)

In the end we were joined by very own Iraghava , KPZen and Mr. Laden ( aka speedzak)

Around 8 pm , drove down back to the install place to find almost everything done.

LBM took a few tools and started playing around with the amps et al.

Then In a closed ride , he was testing the thing and doing some settings to it.

10:30 pm.

INSTALL DONE.

All happy.

Me Excited and overjoyed.

THE FINAL SETUP :

Alpine 9830 ( Stock HU)
2 Ground Zero 30SPL ( Rated 1000w rms each ) in a ported enclosure
1 JBL GTO 14001 monoblock - Rated 1500w rms
1 JBL GTO 1004e 4 channel amp
JBL 608c ( Due to budget constraints - but - i'm not regretting it)
Alpine KCA-420i ( for Ipod connectivity)
JBL Bass Knob

Power cable - Finolex
Speaker Cables - illusion
RCA - No Idea ( Contact LBM for support)
Damping - Noise Kill ( to be done after 1 week of testing)

Love the kick the two subs are giving , amazing
Turn the bass knob and increase the volume , and perfect , bright and clear sound ( pretty soothing to the ears)

P.S. Bass Knob and Ipod Wire's picture to come in by tomorrow.

Here are some pics for you guys.
Enjoy!

An awessome, LOUD, insane Bass machine. Never in my life I would want an install like this. That's how loud it is. Infact, the car may move without an engine with those monsters kicking from the back. Everybody was a bit shocked with their jaws dropped once it started playing.

LBM showed us how to eat up butter chicken in the rear seats. He was continuously tuning to achieve as much bass as possible with different Akon songs. Mr. Abhinav.gupta just wanted this insane thing and it seems he has achieved it.

Congratulations, buddy. Enjoy the BAAASSSSS!!
