Congrats on the install.

Why a 2 channel amp and not a mono?
gurus , can 1 sub be run on a 2 channel by bridging. Wont the 2/4 ohms issue come in?

Waiting for the pics.

VFM for the price it goes for. Bling factor and dhin-chak sound apart, I found the 5050 very delicately build. Would have preferred the earlier rugged series of Pioneer.

Why not? Actually mono amps are costly and most of us can't afford them, at least me. So the best option is to get a two ch amp or a 4 ch amp and bridge their output (if 4 ch then bridge rear output) to connect sub. Most of the decent amps give 150-200-250 W RMS when bridged at 4 ohms.

The 2/4 ohms question depends on the amp specs. Most of the amp support bridging and provide adequate wattages. My Blau PA275 2 ch delivers 200W RMS at 4 ohm when bridged. Another example is JBL GTO752 2 ch delivers 200W RMS at 4 ohms when bridged. These are adequate to run a decent sub in SQ levels. Only thing you need is to look at the spec of the woofer and select an amp which gives adequate power at required ohms when bridged

@prabhmeet, could you please try again? There are no "write permissions" involved here. Till you reach a certain number of posts, a post that you create is validated by mods before it appears on the page. Please go through the posting rules. Your earlier attempts might not have passed the validation.
