SB, thats a lot of money spent only on wiring and damping. Hope you have some saved up for actual equipment.

Btw, even i agree wiring set for 5K seems too steep. Is that accurate?

Why dont you use the mono on the bass tube now and upgrade to a sealed/ported sub when you save up.

Some Correction regarding Wiring & Damping:
1) Bull Amp Wiring Kit - 4GA - Rs. 5K
2) 2 Scoche RCA - Rs. 1.3K
3) Kicker Speaker wires - Rs. 1.1K
4) Damping - Rs. 3.2K
Total Bill - Rs. 10.5K

There was no RCA in the Bull Amp Wiring Kit. There was Stinger and Kicker Amp Kit which includes RCA as well and costs around 8K and 9K respectively at Driven.

Do check again, both Bull Audio kits come with one two channel 5 meter RCA Interconnect. If you didn't get one, please take it up with the installer.

since the JBL bass tube is 4 ohms.. given the specs, it would be all fine. no harm, go ahead!

bass tube? are you sure you want one? why dont you get a good sub in a sealed box. im telling you, even the largest of bassheads fall in love with the tight kick of a good subwoofer, rather than the constant boom of the bass tube.

The combination of Kenwood 8401 and Bull sub in a porter enclosure should cost you around 14k, I have the exact same combination in my RS, along with Bull components in the front and rear.

Hi Friends
Just got the Eclipse Mono installed today. I know it's long time but was busy in family function and Office work. Here is the experience -
Now Eclipse is powering the JBL Bass Tube, Sony 4 ch amp is powering the front JBL Components and rear JBL ovals. The behaviour of Bass tube has noticably changed. The Bass become more tunable and tha bass is quite tight not too much boomy as earlier. Bass is in sync with the music.
The other noticable change was the sound from rear speakers. Earlier it was like most of the sound coming from the front speakers (as abviously since the rears were not amplified) but now the sound is much better, seems to be perfect soundstage.
The system is working quite well as of now but this is just 3 hrs. of experience with the system.
The future upgrades (in phases) i have in mind are as follows -
1) Front comps - Illusion El 6.1 / Rainbow / iD / JBL Power series
2) 4 ch- amp - JBL GTO 1004
3) Sub - iDq v3

I request suggestions regarding my future upgrades. If any other option you find suitable.

1) If i put Mono, it make sense to sell off the JBL Bass Tube and go for a DVC sub. Driven suggested me to go for iDv3

2) The other option i am thinking is - I sell off the Eclipse XA-1000 and upgrade my Sony 4-ch amp. to Kenwood 8401 and JBL basstube to Bull sealed sub. In this way, i don't need to put any extra money right now. What say?.
Use the XA1000 with the JBL tube. The V3 really needs a better amp thant he XA1000 and upgrade the Sony 4ch. to the 8401 (about 5K).
