Hi, I'm looking forward to upgrade my ICE. The current setup is-

1. Blaupunkt HU
2. Sony xplode 4 channel amp
3. Sony comps
4. Blaupunkt bass tube GT 12S

The options available to me are-
1. Upgrade the comps to something better, retain the sony amp to drive the speakers and add a monobloc to drive the woofer
2. Chuck the sony amp and get a good 4 channel amp. Add another sub. Use 2 channels to drive the front speakers and 2 channels to power the 2 subs.
3. Replace the existing comps, amp and bass tube with a better 4 channel amp, comps and 2 subs.

The reason for upgrade? I am not happy with the way it sounds. Not enough punch or clarity.

I have a budget of 20,000 Rs. for the upgrade. If required I could stretch it by a few thousand bucks. What would you guys suggest I do? Can you recommend the best options available to me keeping in mind my existing setup and my budget of 20,000 bucks? I am looking for an SPL setup. Please provide the costs for individual items.

Then go for front compos,amp,sub in that order.

I don't want to sell anything, whatever I replace will go into a friend's car which does not have any ICE yet. So I want to retain what I can/should and then upgrade the rest.

disclaimer:
my advise is based on my limited listening experience. I suggest you audition everything before buying.
IF i were you i would choose GZ iridium/ morel tempo series /JBL gto 608 components. (however since morels may not be available that easily your choice may be between GZ and JBL, you cant go wrong with either)
for the amp i would go for the JBL GT5-A604. please check pricing at 2-3 dealers, some discount on MRP is possible.
sub i would suggest fitting in a sealed enclosure.
