Ice, it's for a Landcruiser. He told me he'll get the capa and power things sorted out. Just wanted me to put out a system that hits hard.

front and rear door put in 61/2" kevlar components by FOCAL
rear fill in'n use BOSTON 6x9
use a 6 channel amp for the speakers 100rms per channel
subs go in for a couple of 15" not 4 12" preferably kicker l7/l5 or the jl audio w7 series
amps for these go for 2 monoblocks
will need 2 power caps

MB Quarts are really good, I've listened to a few and they're just out of this world! Dont know much about BA though. 6-ch amp for the 4 components and 2 rear 6x9s, right?

Am using 4x15" subs and 2 mono amps. Will surely consider Kicker though.

Thanks, Manti.

manti mb quarts are pathetic i front of audiobahn and focal, especially when you want good bass.
4 x 15" subs for a landcruiser is an over kill. any car has a certain limit to its sound capcities...4 subs is way overboard its like the other tbhpian who wants to do a kick a$$ system in his 1.5 l car.
after a certain level the 4 subs will deaden each other

Mate, I've never tried Focals, maybe that's why. Will do try it out. And the guys is adamant about 4 subs, so I cant help it. But the LC is big enough for the kick from 4 subs, aint it? Basically what I'm looking for is bass that will pound your brains out. And kill competition.

Focals are very good. MB Quart however I hear is going out of business or might have already gone out of business. Infinity/JBL are another options. Vifa/ScanSpeak are other options. it all depends on what you want. remember the Focal tweeters might have (the older ones did) foam surrounds that will not survive too long in India. just a thought.

the TS20 are compenent tweeters. what they need though is more filtering. this can be done in 2 ways. a high pass crossover that starts earlier or a crossover with a steeper slope. if anyone can let me know what a TS20 is I can model a crossover that will protect it gratis. what i need to know is it's Fs, rms power handling with XO (usually this reads as 20W rms @ 6db/oct @ 3kHz or something similar). i suspect that the TS20 only has a single cap in its XO. if you want to try a quick fix try using a smaller cap.

hey manti the thing is for competion one 15" sub needs 6 cubic feet space so for 4 you need 24 cubic feet of space the lc is no where close to it.
at the most you can get streeet bass but that is 12 cubic feet too!!!
well its his call and money....
i have seen cars with 3 or 4 15"subs being beaten hollow by a single sub...in db drags for this simple reason.
in fat i myself with 2 subs beat a safari with 4 subs 15" sounstream tarantulas....simple reason not enough room
