Rockford Fosgate Setup on a Mistubishi

Just went for the Zigwheels International Car Show at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai on the 17th of January.
I was always wondering what kind of ICE the Mitsubishi Montero and now, the Mitsubishi Outlander offered. There was no documentation of any sorts, and there were sketchy details about what the car came with, as standard kit. The only thing i knew was that they came with a multi speaker Rockford Fosgate setup.
Well, I checked out the Outlander myself at the show, and there were a lot of people doing the same thing at that time, so didn't get a chance to take a lot of photos. But this is what i got. So here's a sketchy account of what ACTUALLY the Outlander has.

First, a little bit about what is actually there in the Outlander, followed by the pictures.

Mitsubishi Outlander customers can now look forward to Rockford's Fosgate - a premium, high-output audio system. The Fosgate delivers 650 watts of pure listening pleasure.
The Outlander comes with Fosgate complemented by nine speakers, including a 10" long-throw sub-woofer that comes in its own little acoustic suspension enclosure. You also have a six-disc in-dash CD changer to accompany you for long drives. If you take MP3s, then you have an uninterrupted supply of music that lasts 64 hours. Outlander's advanced DSP gives complete power to the user over sub-woofer bass levels. The Outlander also sports six levels of sub-woofer PUNCH sound provided by Rockford.
Staging controls include Live, Hall and Stage. It also has Classic, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Hip Hop music genre presets.

Do I see dippy in the 2nd pic ?

Methinks this would be the only automobile selling in India with such good audio.

Yes Dippy and others too!

I sure wish other Indian manufacturers also rasied their ICE levels. The only downside being that most of them overcharge for what little ICE they install.

didnt get a chance to hear it but i think the RF ICE is good, not great, but good.
but a start in the right direction.
i personally prefer an option, where even in the top of the line models, there is an option to strike out the stereo, speakers and 'wiring' that the company provides as standard fitment. that would benefit us in a better way, than having SO SO pre installed ICE.

Mitsubishi ASX - dual 15 inch Rockford Fosgate subwoofers

Hey there guys and girls.

Recently bought this vehicle and attended to sound deaden the whole door, boot area.
The whole install is done suing the original screw points so all timber floor was secured using the original screw points. Marine Plywood was used in the process with 1 inch pine wood for bracing and creating a H frame under the baffle and on the securing the baffle to the false floor.

The result is astounding!!! The bass waves on these subwoofers firing on the inclined door hatch provides good kick to the system. The subwoofer monobloc amplifier used is a Phoenix Gold RX1100.1, at a 2 ohm load, provides 444rms per single 4 ohm subwoofer. Another amplifier, a Precision Power PC450 provides 200rms to the 4 high passed speakers, they are high passed at 80hz at 12db octave. The head unit is stock but will be changed soon. I added led lights around subwoofer for demo purpose only with a separate switch as well. Hope you enjoy the photos and please feel free to comment.

Re: Rockford Fosgate Setup on a Mistubishi

Sorry I did not post any pics of the fatmat sound deadening I used in the process. The doors were all sound deadened and had LED lights installed with SAAS foot pedals as well. Hopefully I will get the head unit changed in the coming months. Cheers!
