Fried resistors or transistors?

If you know the exact part details, maybe the distributors here could let you know whether it is available with them or not. If not, you could check in the open market.

Definatly resistors, i have a photo, which i will email to Gordon@genesis, to see if he can advise, as sending this back to UK isn't really feasible and would end up costing atleast RS12000

Regards,

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

No point in sending it back, since a new one costs 27K here. Send me an email with the fault, part details, pics and we will arrange the rest.

Cheers!

I understood, just thought it would be a good idea to also take advice from the guy who designs and manufactures the amp as he knows the amp inside out and has a reputation of being extremely helpful, as he is also an audio enthusiast.

Thanks Gunbir, I have already mailed and recieved the reply from Gordon,
"
Hi Stefan,
Sorry to hear your P4 has gone west.

Can you advise the version number as this will determine what parts you will need.

Or send me a good pic of the circuit board once you have the top off the amp.

I can send you the parts you need from here and it will be a relatively simple job to change them over and get the amp running again.

Best regards

Gordon Taylor"

I think i am ready for some diy, do you keep spare parts for Genesis Gunbir?, I will also mail you the pictures, didn't realize these amps retail at 27k here! how much is a P2? must around 18k?

Yes if the spares used are of the same quality as the original.
