Hu for < Rs 12,000

hi
Looking for a headunit for about 10-12k. i ve got blaupunkt speakers amp and a basetube nothing high end dont remember the model numbers . all basic to mid range stuff.
i listen to rock mostly a little trance sometimes too.I prefer mid and low rather than high frequency sounds , i like the guitar and drums over the snares and plates .

open to suggestions but keen on alpine 9884 and pioneer 7150(white display).

what kind of equalizer does the alpine have ? .

Go for 7150. A good HU. Just used one in someones car. It seemed to be better built than Pio 6050.

Just dont go behind the looks of an HU. An HU may be dull looking but will provide excellent SQ. CDA 9886 is a very good HU and if you get one at 12K (should be grey) it is worth it!, and i do like the looks of all the alpine HUs . I have not seen pio 7150 though.

i was comparing 9884 and 9886 .9886 has an organic display which is too flashy for my liking.

what kind of equalizer is present in 9884?

the display of the 9886 can be adjusted to show just text. this is not too flashy and is in fact the most readable even in bright sunlight. the display shouldnt be too much of a priority mate. the sound quality should matter most. the 9886 is a good option. also, one can try looking at the ida-xXXX series from Alpine for a good ipod integration.
