Require help on Lauras OEM Music system

Guys ,

AND NOW THE NEW SYSTERM IS ALSO KAPUT WITH THE CD'S GETTING STUCKED IN IT AND THERE IS NO WAY THE COMPANY CAN REPAIR THE SAME .

HELP ME WAT SHOULD I DO ? I WANNA REPLACE IT BUT WITH WAT ?

ALSO SINCE THIS CAR AS **** AS ONE PIECE WIRING . I DONT WANT TO GET INTO DOING A COMPLETE REWIRING OF MY CAR.

HELP ME GUYS . .....

Err.. does this mean the car comes in one piece wiring and you had change the whole wiring because the thieves supposedly cut some wires while flicking your music system??

How did they get into the car to steal the OEM music system? As such the OEM music system is pretty ordinary looking and not easy to remove.

A couple of members (akshat and sandeep) apparently replaced the OEM music system with a much more expensive OEM music system, read this full thread: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...ified-vrs.html

1. I dont think so hence i asked my earlier question.
2. it is not what the wiring cost but what the customer was charged (and paid) that is the question.

May be, the thief badly messed up with not only ICE wiring but rest of the engine and other wiring while taking it out. And the car being today's electronic fuel system type (and more than that, being "Laura") it costs so much?? Even in that case it looks steep, though.

@vincy_30, please clarify.

yea the laura doesnt have a connector between the music system and the 12 spekers and so he cuted the wires and i had to replace all of them as there is no system of them making a joint in the same as per their company intructions .

could you believe that .

i had to pay for one reason the car was just a week old . and secondly that it was thing of theft and not a problem from the car so had to get it fixed up

i have posted what all the thing abut why wiring was changed and why it might cost so much .

the 2 worries for getting the oem change is that it controls everything of the car on the system like parking sensor, a/c , esp , noise sensing audio output. etc .

and the other is that the controls on steering .

so suggest what system to put which will take care of all this .

The Laura head unit has the parktronic display on it. So you can't change the head unit as such. Since you purchased the OEM head unit just recently, you must have warranty on it. If the Skoda guys can't fix it, they should give you a replacement.

Or, it is sold as a replacement piece to a Laura owner through an authorised workshop. Considering the horror stories, anything's possible.

@vincy, did they return the old wiring to you?

Yea navin ,

I know 1 lac for speaker wires , ( but their explanation was that they had to do rewiring of all wires of the car ) Anyways i had bad experience with that workshop but now i am doing service from autobahn .

I did get a refund of almost the same i spend but had to spend for the new system the 55K.

So now what do we do for the system which is a problem again.

Do you think i should go for MFD if yes then which one .....
