Dude this is just me and me, if i were you this is what i would do in a scorpio.

Get a
1.set of components 6" ones for the front door,
2. then get the Illusion 4.1 components these need to fixed at the 'C' & 'D' pillars at the rear.
3. Get a good 4 channel amp like the kenwood 8404/ 8401 or jbl GT5604A or GTO 1004e
4. At least a 300W RMS mono,
5.and a suitable sub.
6.well a decent 3 PRE-AMP-out HU like PIO 5050/5090 and have this setup tuned and just enjoy!!!

and VFM finolex wiring for amps that are 10 Sq mm (minimum 14 Sq mm recommended) with fuse boxes and 2.5 Sq mm wires for speakers, 4 Sq mm for sub.
and a decent RCA wires.

all in all this setup should cost a min (approx) 40K - 43k bucks including installation and every thing else.

Thanks Rider 60,Karan and Happywheels.
Rider 60 will keep your suggestions in mind. My budget is Rs 20 K however.
Karan and Happywheels- thats the feedback I am getting about Sony from other GURU's too! I will stay away sure. The reason why I quoted Sony was that my Maruti now has the XR-3757 radio-cassette player with four speakers installed in 1998. Touchwood that has never been for any kind of repairs till now given the heat, dust and moisture that it has come across for 11 years.
But as friend Speedzak says Sony earlier made the best audios on planet earth but not any more!

The best??
Hmm... Hmm...
One of the best.
Now, Sony is all about Red, silver and black. Somewhere down the line, they forgot how not to make Xplodin' HUs.

Anyways, updates please!

Well if thats your budget and if you dont intend to spend any MORE AT ALL in the future, i mean not even out of temptation or awe then here is what you can do,

get a basic Pio HU with 2 pre amp outs, Probably the 2050/ 2090 Pioneer Head unit cost roughly 3500-4000.

then get a Basic 4-channel amp like the JBL GT5-A604 or the Kenwood 8404/8401 5000-6000

Get a GT5 or GTO comps from jbl or the likes at round 4K (grey)

a 4" coaxial speaker set from jbl or jvc or any good brand cost around 1500.

Get a entry level sub woofer. should cost under 3000 bucks pioneer or jbl

now you can run your comps and sub off that amp, and now you can place those 4" coaxials on the same location i suggested before the C and D pillars of the car, and run it off the Head unit.

the wires, box and installation should cost you around 3500 bucks

the grand total is 22000 Voila you have one of the best music systems around your budget, pump the volume and ENJOY!!!

EDIT: dude i initially said if you never intend to spend more keep that well in mind man, because once you buy this 2-pre amp out(which has 4 channles of pre outs) HU if you want to upgrade you will lose 50%, and you will need to spend a extra for the 3-Pre amp(6 channel pre outs, front rear and sub outs ) HU.

The city where I stay has authorised dealers and company showrooms for Panasonic, JBL, Sony and Blaupunkt, whereas Kenwood, Pioneer and Alpine are sold through some accessory shops.
Is it absolutely a necessity to have a company showroom or an authorised dealer for the post fitment service and repair back-up? I feel that this is quite necessary which necessitates me to change the brands and configurations of my ICE.
I hope to hear from GURUS in the light of these developments.
