Kenwood 8103D Amp

Guys i need a monoblock & 2channel amp.

Am selling off my JBL 1004 cause am adding a monoblock + 2 channel
For monoblock i can pay upto 10 grands in grey
2 channel can pay upto 4-5 grands in grey

For 2 channel i have my eyes on Blaupunkt GTA 280 , is this a good amp?

Monoblock not able to find any good amp around 500w-600w rms 2 ohm stable !!

What will be the major difference on woofer if played with 2 channel amp or monoblock

for 4-5K you can get 4 channel Blau Amp. I think MKII retails for 5-5.5K with Bill now days.

Why 2 ohm stable MONO ? Changing sub ?

Do not go for this amp. It has a bad repo in the market. A shop in Chandigarh has two of this amps which were blow in few mins of running.

Kenwood 8103D Amp

Hey Guys

I just picked kenwood 8103 D Mono amp for trying it in my car which produce roughly 500w RMS at 2 OHMS.

This amp will be used to Power my Blaupunkt V SPL 15 inch Sub that is 600w RMS 4/4 OHMS.

How good is this amp?

Am little confused about wiring which will go from amp to sub.

There ae 2 points like 2 channel amp ( from where out put of speakers goes out ) but all diagrams on net shows only 1 point diagram .

Can anyone explain correct wiring procedure

Thanx

Don't be confused

Your subwoofer is a dual 4 ohm sub. You will have 2 pairs of wires coming from the sub. Red/black coil 1, and red/black coil 2.

Now your amplifier is monoblock, but has 2 sets of speaker outputs in parallel. Most installers call this Pyarelal.

Take one coil and connect it with the right polarity to one + and -

Take the second coil connection and conect it to the other + and -.

This should give your amplifier the effective load of 2 ohms, which the manual says should be OK.

Now take an RCA cable and connect it to the subwoofer Pre-out of your head unit. Adjust the gain to your taste. The low pass filter should be anywhere between 80 to 120 Hz as an approximation. - this is neither hard nor fast.

Keep yourself clean by washing your entire body regularly, paying extra attention to your underarms and crotch area and you should have some good hygienic bass in your car.

Cheers,
Sam

Yes. All audio is that simple. We purposely confuse laymen for monetary and personal satisfaction.

And 2 sets of RCA posts are also in pyarelal. So that you may connect another monoblock if need be. You just use a 2 RCA cable and connect it to where it says "input"
