HU Swap (For Old Punto Systems to New, to ensure Aux Option is working & functional )

Ok Guys - Here it is

The 5 step swap process (didn't get the image for the step where you have to input code) - This is only to swap the HU and not to install the AUX cable.

IMO get the Aux cable installed by a good dealer.

Notes -

* These images may seem like a common step by step manual, it's indeed a DIY job (to swap the system).

* Even if you do manage to swap the system you will have to visit a Blau dealer for the Aux Cable (@download2live - this should answer your question)

* Ensure you have the right tool/s.

*Do NOT try this at home or anywhere without the security Code !

--- Notice the "U" type of tool used to extract the system from the main frame. (Image 2)

--- Before Image 4
Just as you see Aux - you will see "Code" - all you do is input the code and vola !

Can we add the Bluetooth and USB kit to this stereo?
In case we can, i am planning to upgrade my stereo to have Blue and me.

I am worried about the folder navigation controls on the steering.

You need to buy a mini ISO connector for your stereo. There is some confusion about this as information online is not so correct due to the fact that there are different vendors who are supplying these ISO connectors and have different colors. Some say you need to buy yellow connector and some say blue. All you need to do is find the AUX ISO connector which fits to the left side top of the connector when you look at your stereo from backside and thats all to it.

Search team Fiat forum for instructions or wait till Harish puts some pics of it on here.

I have confirmed report of Blue and me being added to an Emotion Punto but only thing I am not sure is if that stereo was the BT head unit with enabled AUX and cost around 11k. You would also need to upgrade the steering wheel if you want the controls for it. Expensive mod I think.

I have got my stereo working with the AUX cable. I had to reasearch a bit on the pin diagrams and got the cable from Autosonics Pvt Ltd Mumbai. It works beautifully.

I was looking if it possible to use USB devices with stereo with folder browsing and stuff.

You can have USB & Bluetooth too along with Aux-in. check this thread.

It has some limitations, so I call it Blue & Kiran
