ICE for a to be booked Ikon TDCi

Hello,

My wife and I decided to take the plunge and go for the Ikon diesel inspite of some no so supporting reactions from people.

My knowledge of ICE is limited to listening alone. I am looking a for a ICE- budget is 15-20k. We listen to tamil (rahman, Ilayaraja), hindi (Rahman, Burman, Kishore, Hariharan) & english pop songs a lot and sometimes english pop. I also listen to Santana, Kenny G, and indian classical instrumentals. Hope you guys get what kind of music I prefer. Please suggest a good set-up for me.

For 15-20k , you can go in for a Front + Rear + Amp combo

Headunit: Pioneer / Kenwood - 6-7k
Front : JBL 608c - 4k
Rear : JBL 938 - will give you thump which the sub would have given you(to some extent)-3k
4 Channel Amp - JBL 504/Blaupunkt GT4MKII- Not sure about JBL but blaupunkt is about 5k.
1k- Wiring + Install.

Thanks Abhinav. Is Sub-woofer a very important component of ICE setup?

It Depends upon your choice.
If you like bass, then yes it is.
If that is the case, you may replace the rears in your car with a JBL sub.
Not sure about model no. but would cost you about 3-4k in grey.
