Panky is right.
Iam too very much inclined towards Clarion 785, if someone can get it from USA for you, it would be very very cheap as compared to whats guys are quoting in India.

I've seen few online stores are selling for 150usd when shipped to USA.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately for me, there is no one who can get this from the US. Can you please suggest a HU (with the above mentioned features) that is readily available in the Indian Market?

Note from mods: Please do not copy and paste from an external editor. Impermissible font, size and color tages reduce legibility.

You can try The Kenwood 6539U or X7009 if you find one.

Both are good HU's.

If you don't care much about SQ then you can go for any Pio HU in that range.

Please give details of the setup and the kind of music you prefer.

Bluetooth and Steering Remote might raise the price a bit, but you could surely look at a few Blaupunkt (Hamburg, etc.; separate steering remote). Pioneer (not sure of the model) and Kenwood models available off the shelf in India. Search the ICE section - you will surely find model numbers and prices. You have a decent budget.

I would not mind compromising on sound quality as I ONLY listen to Hindustani Classical Music.
The speakers and the existing HU were given as a compliment by the dealer when I purchased the car and, at present, I am not looking to replace the speakers.
After having done a search for Hus suggested, I am assuming I might have to increase by budget to 15k :-(

* Blaupunkt Kingston MP47 (+ BT adapter) or Hamburg MP57 (built-in BT)
* Pioneer DEH-P4190SD or DEH-P5190UB + adapters for BT and iPod
* Kenwood KDC-MP5539 or 5039 + BT Adapter
* Clarion FZ409A (+ BT adapter) or FZ709A (built-in BT)

All the above have USB, some have Front Aux-in jack (for PMPs), some support iPod through an adapter.

786USB is available only in SE Asia and Australia, and on an average costs (converted) ~INR20K - unless someone gets a deal in Sin, KL or BKK. At that price, 9887 bought locally with b&w makes more sense.

How is Pioneer DEH-P7050BT.

CD tuner with built-in Bluetooth® - DEH-P7050BT :: Pioneer Australia

This is being sold in Delhi between 9-10k (Grey) and looks impressive for its features.

Yeah, I asked it few days ago from Expert. Was planning to add BT200 (Rs.4,800/-) to my Kenwood 5110. He only suggested me this HU. So, I found it a good option. Its just that I will be downgrading from 2-din to 1-sin HU.

Planning to buy it today/tomorrow only if guys approve.

Sorry for putting my Qs in others thread.

I think the MP57 is your best bet. Should come to under Rs. 12 K with the steering remote control!
