Need help with ICE for Ritz

Hi Pros,

Last week I booked a Ritz VDI and would like to get the audio setup done.

I guess Swift and Ritz have same door speaker sizes and so went through Swift threads, but then got confused with the setups.

I am thinking of the following.
1 or 2 Din HU with USB
5 channel amplifier (2 Front + 2 Rear + Sub)
2 Speaker in front door and 2 speaker in rear door + a boxed sub under seat or tube sub in the rear boot.

Can you guys suggest a good configuration and pricing for the above ?

My budget would be 20K or 25K for now, may be I can expand in future by skipping 2 rear door speaker and choosing amps appropriately for now.

Which would be VFM and fit within 20 to 25K?
Is it better to go for 5 channel amplifier and full setup under 20K right now(Guess this is not possible under 20K or 25K)
Or go for one 4 channel(Buying 2 front speakers for now and 2 later) and 1 sub amplifier + woofer now
Or two x 2 channel amp (1 amp and 2 rear door speakers at later stage) and 1 sub amp + woofer now.

Regarding Subwoofer, I don't want the sub to be sitting in the rear boot, so please suggest me a sub which can go under a seat or a tube which can sit in the rear boot and still have space to have luggage.
But again will the tube be able to produce good bass like a ported box ?

I decided on the Pioneer HU and JBl GTP Amplifier, but again thought may be you guys can provide the models and prices based on 2009 products.

PS: I am from Chennai.

Thanks,
Kannan

Since your budget is 25K,It would be hard to get the 5 channel amp and other goodies mentioned under it.
Well i would suggest get a 4 channel / 2channel amps instead.

Hi..

i suggest you the following speakers,

JVC KD4044
for front doors-audible dynmics(ad)- 6" component speakers
for rear doors-audible dynmics(ad)- 5" or 6" component speakers whichever suits.
For Amp JBL 6040 CS series.
For Sub-woofer-audible dynmics(ad)-AD PPD10(powered sub)

For 5 channel amp you can also look into audible dynamics(ad) C5.

Hey Saint thanks for replying.

Can you please provide pricing details .

Guess I can go for a HU + 2 channel amp + 1 Sub amp + 2 front door components + subwoofer.

Is this configuration ok ?

Looks good enough.
Will all this fall under your budget?
Have you done a price check and all?

i think you will be better off with
HU - 6000 (pioneer)
components - 6500 max (JBL/Illusions/etc)
2 channel amp - 2500 (for front comps)
2 channel amp - 2500 (for sub) in bridged mode
sub - 4000 (JBL)
wiring and installation - 2500

I would suggest get the Kenwood KAC-5203 2 channel amp. it has RMS of 55 x 2 .
Its VFM though.

What you should do is more like:
HU <6000
4 channel amp: 5200 GTA4 MKII
JBL CS1205 sub: 2800 + box 400
wiring: 1000-2000
installation: 500-1000
JBL 608c: <4000
2 rear coax: choose any one

All the above choices are great.
I would like to add:

Front Comps: Bull Audio 6.5" Cost: 5900 ( Run with front 2 channel of the 4 channel amp)
Rear Coax: Bull Audio 5.25" Coax Cost : 2900/- ( can run directly through the head unit)
Sub: There is bull Audio, Jbl, Polk audio. Cost: for all 12" under 5000/- ( Run with the rear channel of the 4 channel amp under bridge mode)

Head unit : JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood. keep a budget for 5-6K.

Amp: As everyone suggest Blaupunkt GTA4

Wiring and installation: could be between Rs.2-2.5K.
Enclosure : around 1000/- can be expected

This may shoot your budget by around 3 grands or so. But, think it would be well worth it. Bull Audio comps are great VFM along with JBL. Would prefer Bull audio here.

ICE for my Ritz

just got my Ritz delivered (1st).
i already have a spare set of speakers.. pioneer 6992 (5 way 400 Watts). these good enough ? or should i get something else for the rear.

also should i get speakers fitted in the door or should i get a tray ? was told that the tray will have a better effect (more bass ?).

from my last experience i think it doesnt take much to get a decent sound quality in your car, cuz the amount of expense people make on a car stereo system (to me) is just TOO much. i had a pioneer 5550 + 6992 in the rear and a decent pioneer set up front. was good enough for me.

so keeping that in mind i would like some advice on what to get.

have heard pioneers are giving problems these days. and that kenwood is great. any comments on that ?

if i install the 6992s in the rear (tray) with a decent set of components (kicker?) up front will it suffice? which stereo ? don't really need a dual din as its only the appearance that differs right ?

thanks.

Go for Blaupunkt MKII Amp which is cheaper than GTA4 amp ..

It sounds exactly the same and there is no difference in power (FORGET THE TECH SHEET)

Blaupunkt is Bankrupt and closed world wide so try to bargain heavily on Blaupunkt Stuff

MkII and GTA4 are one and the same amplifiers IMHO. There CANNOT be a difference in the Tech sheets bro

kenwood heads are good

even the old series Panasonic were good !!

Sorry i got confused between GTA 4 and GTA 480 !! But again there is no difference

GTA 480 retails for 4k
and GTA 4 is unavaible here

But for the size and looks GTA 480 is better
