Mohan, take your GTA4 to Bosch service. Ask Mandovi Motors (Wilson Garden) whom to contact. I don't think they will charge anything to set it right.

This looks promising. so as soon as i get free let me try my hands on damping too before going to professionals for help. Any link to local suppliers?

Sometimes I really wish I had taken pics when I was active in audio. A picture = 1000 words.
My car is in its bare minimum at service staion for repair work.
Whole engine bay empty, seats removed, mats too removed.
Only the roof have the factory fitted fabric.
I am planning to use this opportunity to do the damping.
The engine bay has a Black thick sheet covered by some silevrish metal, I suppose hats for heat shielding. In the inside od car behind the dash board and on overalll floor, a thick green colored fabric is there, which is removed now. Below it there are few patches of some black sheets of rubber.
Please let me know, what all can be done to have a more silent cabin, and as the car is at serice station, so all the work has to be done by me only. I can't take it somewhere else.

Looks like the car has taken a hit. Hope the people travelling are alright.

You can stick some damping sheets on the firewall from indise the the cabin. If you are okay budget wise, then you can stick the sheets completely on the floor, dorrs, firewall pillars to have a dead silent cabin.

Stick foam sheets if you need a VFM option

Yuppp people are alright.

My prime concern is to reduce the road noise and engine sound. Palio 1.6 is a bit noisy engine.
Also as there is already a firewall installed at the dashboard side of engine bay. So do i need something more for Heat shielding, or is it enough.
And coming to Sound damping, few patches of some rubber sheets are already installed, so should i put the new sheets on just above them or I have to remove the earlier ones.

I am planning to spend mot more then 5-6 K and will keep the car atleast for 3-4 years, so the material have to be long lasting.
I enquired about Dynamat sheets, they are 1600 per sheet of size 1 feet by 1 feet. I think I have to look for other options.
Kindly suggest some other brands.

Buy noiske kill. Its about 140 per sqft (Can be procured from Bass&Trouble)

Stick it on the firewall metal directly behind the green mat. For the floor, doors etc, stick directly on the sheets that are there as an additional layer. Heat shielding is not required as its already provided.

Dynamat is an expensive option.
