i want to buy an amp with a upper range of 10,000rs. Since i am in the uk at the monment..

a)i have found a website which is still selling the JBL GTO 75.4.

or (b) should pick up a gt5s644 or 1004 when i come back to india after a month.

If you are getting the 75.4 , you can take it. Or even the JBL 1004 is almost the same. A bit difference in sound though.

The GT5 would be the more basic model than the 75.4/1004.

Good component Speakers in the 5-7k can range from JBL , Illusion , Hertz and some more.
I'll suggest Illusions / JBLs out of them. JBL 608c for about 5k with b/w and illusion for about 7k with b/w.

for 150 pounds its an expensive deal.
If its with warranty , then it seems ok but without that its bad.
And since you are coming to India, there would be no use of warranty there as JBL does not provide international warranty if i remember correctly.

You can have the JBL 1004 instead.
Around 10k without b/w and around 14.5k MRP.

Illusion Electras 6.1
I was using them and really are great VFM Components.
Retail at 7k.

they are not the boom boom kinda ones.
You can give them 2 channels and 2 channels to the rears and you will be good to go.

Might I suggest you to check out the bull audio components for around 7k here in india with B&W. A sweet piece of equipment for the money IMO.
Just my 2 cents.

cheers
