Re: Top 10 6.5" Component Car Stereo Speakers

Yeti from a Superb. LOL. Mr Navin sure has a vivid imagination.
@Sam: I wonder why the Infinity series is not as well marketed/sold in India as the very popular JBL brand. I find their sound signatures PREtttttttY similar (in the entry level models) and I don't see why they wouldn't sell as well.

Lately, it's been different.
Infinity's being marketed very well.

I'd really like to hear you say bad things about a JBL product on here.

Oh come on nitrous. You should know better. I'd call a spade a spade.

Actually Infinity has a very different sonic signature.

I'd suggest Image Dynamics, Dyn Audio, and Braxx components. Braxx is extremely good. Make sure you power them with good amps, Class A or tube amps. Check Zapco, Orion as well, they have really good SQL amplifiers.

Respect man, you know your ICE. I'd love to check your system out. Tru and Image is a good combo. Are the TRU upgraded with Burrbrown chips?

Is there anything similar that can be done to a pair of JBL eon515. I find them a little too bright and if i turn down the treble there is a lot of detail lost in the music.

You might want to consider an external equalizer for proper tuning. Does your HU have a built in EQ?

Have heard a 3 way install of the Focal and I didnt like it (bad install/tuning maybe). Anyway, I doubt if it can do well in a SQL install anyway.

Try DLS or ID for SQL. Rainbow too should do well.

I am not much on an SQ guy... Trying to improve my listening skills.
But from all the installs Focal 165VR setup was really good!
Match that with a Focal Solid 4 bridged.
Then all you would need is a 27V2 or 33V2 Sub + Focal Sold 1

I heard Focal are pretty cheap in india compared to what we sell. So this should be a pretty good setup that goes to 40 K

If you want to reduce the cost then

Focal 165VR + Focal 27V1 + Focal Solid 4 (Bridge the rear channel)
If you like rear fill, you cant go wrong with Focal 165CVX.

About Focal 3 way not sounding good!!! A lot depends on the install!
Even the cheapest of speakers can sound pretty good if the installer knows what is doing. Atleast thats what I believe.

Re: Top 10 6.5" Component Car Stereo Speakers

Please suggest a good component speaker for my brezza. Further, i am not sure if 6.5" will fit in the front doors. Budget around 5k to 7k.

For that budget, you can go for JBL components. if you can double your budget , Morel Tempo or DLS are advisable.
