That is why I installed my car audio system myself. And those installers treat the drivers like a piece of junk and handle it badly.

Sam, he is okay now. And do let me know about the 426s.

Urgent Help

I finally bought my system but skipped a beat the moment i reached home!!

My Sony MP3 Changer palyed tricks with and Audio CD. After playing 20 secs, stop, plays 5 secs stops, Skips a portion and then again stops. It played other MP3 cD's well though it did take around a minute to read a particular MP3 CD also. Othe CD's it read well.

I do not want to take risks and was thinking of returning the Cassette deck and Changer and going in for Pioneer double Din Combo at around 13,500/-. The cassette Deck and Changer cost me 11,100/- Cost is no consideration peace of mind is. What if after sometime the Changer troubles other CD's as well?

Should i upgrade from this Sony Cassette + CD Changer to a Pioneer Double Din?

I can probably get it changed if I go to him today...So please help!!

1stly if the changer is misbeavhing and it's still new get a replacement.

2ndly i could not connect to that link.

3rdly most double DIN HUs are not as well speced as single DIN HUs. although not seeing the link i cant tell if this specific HU is ok.

Here's the link to the Pioneer Double din. HOpefully it will work.

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...etailComponent

Also about the CD changer I checked the CD that was skipping. I played it in a laptop and here too there was a problem. The Cd was skipping bits of upto 5 secs. but in the Changer up to a minute or two. Played six other M3 & Audio CD's and they work fine. So, is this a problem really with the Changer or with The Disc?

Is the CD a MP3 cd? if not try it on a good CD player or CD ROM. If it is a MP3 CD was it recorded VBR?

would the bass produced by a component speaker be the same when placed in the pod provided on the door and at the back on a tray

ie, boom boom at front door pod = boom boom at rear tray?

SM, i guess the cd quality from Times Music is not that great.

I played "Black Friday" in my Blau-Bermuda, but it did not pick it on a bumpy road. But when played while stationary, it was no probs, even when back in motion.

Try the same with a good quality one.

My 2 cents..

JK,

The bass will not be the same...It will be different. All depends on the volume of air at the back of driver.

Well! I think, I'll stick with the Sony CD Changer. The CD is giving trouble in my two computer systems also. so, i guess its a prob with the Cd. And 10 CD's in a stack seems really convenient to just one.

Moreover, I'll have to shell out more 3000 bucks for the Pio double din (features on this look cool though. 3 preamps it has) These 3000 and ad a lil more, I may buy a sub!

Lets ride luck with sony!
