No idea Navin, he seems to be curiously missing from the forum for the past few days. Must be conjuring up something new I guess!

No, certainly not cheap, he's selling the 6x9 for around 6.9k.

the 8600 looks well built from the pics on lg's webpage. dont know how reliable they are. especially the motorized face. i have never seen or heard it though but i suggest you wait and see how they perform or get a HU from a better company. jvc, pio, kenwood make good vfm HUs.

cheers

I think you just answered your question yourself!! Seriously though, my suspicion is because of the fact that the Guru's have been saying that Nakamichi is not the same company it used to be. Secondly, as Ajay said in all probability these are the grey imports so don't know whether they are genuine at all & also are they worth the money?

yes, i answered my own q. 7k looked cheap so i found out the price of nak 6x9s and edited my post.

i have heard quite a lot of people saying naks are not the same any more. they used to be the best but now they aren't. so i would avoid buying nak like everyone avoids sony.

but the price on ebay us shocked me. 70$ for a 6x9 with separate xos is cheap.

cheers

In the case of a Sony 552 you can only run the subwoofer on it. Or a pair of speakers. I would not recommend running both.

Sony 552, two channel or four? i would recommend driving the sub from this not so powerful amp and drive the speakers through your HU ( mind you if you increase volume, there is bound to be some crack in sound) and get yourself a good amp and swap the connection in future.

Based on my previous experience of using sony amp's, they are just good enough for driving speakers

I think the 552 is 2 channel. 4 channel would be 554.
