Hi, A simple query.
I need a HU and front components in the minimum budget. Say around 6-8k. Can anyone suggest what will be the best for that?
Also any suggestions where to get them installed from?

I got my Pioneer 4050UB HU for 5.6k 8 months ago. That may be cheaper now. And 3050UB would be even cheaper.

Try getting JBL GT5 series comps ( sub 4k ?).

Faridabad has LBM and South delhi has Gunbir for installations.

Pioneer 2050 ( <4k)
Comps, size/price depending on which car , and where you plan to mount ( dash/doors)

Thanks guys.
@Eddy - whats the diff between 4050 and 3050 Hu's? Or even say 2050 as Greenhorn suggested? Also does any of these have a USB option?

@Greenhorn. - Sorry for not mentioning the car. The car is Indigo LX.

Will get in touch with LBM first regarding this. As its planned for mid Nov so no hurry as of now.
Any more suggestions are welcomed.

4050 and 3050 have USB options. The difference (I think) is in the fact that the USB/CD player would be front loading or not, display quality and quantity etc. I have no clue about the 2050

harry, dash or doors ?
if dash , then the illusion 4.1's are the only option. But comps dont make a significant difference in dash installs.
if doors, then 6" comps should do the trick nicely ( but you'll need to damp the door panels a bit)
2050 doesnt have USB. just aux in.
Allocate the budget between the HU and the Speakers depending on which you value more , convenience or SQ

Have the models changed? As pioneer india site gives
2090. 3090 . 4090
instead of 2050, 3050, 4050

@ greenhorn - Which one you suggest will be better - Door or dash?
The effect should be good and i dont care much about the HU, just need a USB option in it.

XX90 series are the legal ones, available with bill and warranty and cost almost 1.75 times the price of XX50 series which are available without b&w but are widely used.

2050 <4k
cheapest. no USB, just aux in. Buy this and spend the rest of the cash on some good comps + damping = SQ install
3050 ~5k
medium, Front USB in, aux in, 2 pre outs, but will get you only the cheapest comps.
= convenience install
4050 ~6k
same as 3050, but 3 pre outs ( as opposed to the 4090) . not recommended for low budget installs unless you have grand upgrade plans

That means 3050 is the logical option. Suggestions for the Compo's and the price?
Also i think 2 pre outs will be fine for my need. (its actually for my dad's car which i occassionaly drive and thats why dont wanna spend much)

I would actually choose the 2050, since SQ matters more for me ( heck my alpine HU cost 9k and doesn't have even the aux in!)
compos ( you still havent specified which one you want)
4" = dash
5" = door
6" = door + spacers + some cutting shutting ( but the bass will be worth it !)

If you're not planning to amp it , then you dont need ANY pre outs. heck, one should do fine in case you want to add a sub sometime later.

compos start from 4.5k onwards.
options - lbm hai na !

No plans for amp right now, maybe later(which i dont think so as my car will come by jan and that already as a grand plan of upgradation ICE)
I dont have any idea which wil be better - dash or door! As per your comments door sounds better !
Will 5" = door is good enough or 6" should be the one?

5" in door chalega, but if you want the max, then i'd suggest 6". may drive up the costs though spacers etc. Since you want to keep your costs down, i suppose 5" will do fine. Remember to budget for some damping. the indigo door panels vibrate like crazy
