GTO 947 or Infinity 9633i

Guys,

I am planning to replace the current co axial speakers (4" in front and 6"x9" in rear) in my Esteem.

Have been very satisfied with listening to GTO series (6x9 coaxials in rear and 5.25" components in the front) on my previous car which was a Zen. Predominantly I listen to Classical music, classic rock and rarely, bollywood.

In Esteem front stock location takes a 4" co-axial. For this have sort of decided on GT5-S204 (for Rs 1500). Any other better options in the same price range ?

The rear of my car already has a parcel tray with provision for 6"x9" in which the horror show called sony xplod is running for some time now.

Have got a quote from one of the better installers in Bangalore as follows for JBl products.
GTO 947 - Rs 4500 (MRP Rs 5990)
Infinity 9633i - Rs 5000 (MRP 7990)

So now my question is which should I go for ? Or should I try and search for GTO 938, which from reviews here seems very close to my old GTO 937 ?

Thanks
Bullfrog

P.S> I am amazed at the difference in the offered price and MRP. Wonder how the installers manage

Think about this. If he sold you at MRP, imagine how much he'd make

Can you PM me the name of the dealer please.

For the small difference the Infinity 9633 seems like a better option.

Infinity would be a tad better than the GTO's.

Btw, did you enquire about the comps too? I am in the market for new comps, any pricing and model number info would be helpful

No. I didn't want to do anything different than the current locations.

Still not bought the speakers !!

A generic question to the folks here. Is an external amplifier a must to put GTO 947 to good use ? Asking this question as the wattage is up by 100 from earlier 937 and there is a GT5-S396 which is 280 Watts and would be regular fitment I presume, sans any amplifier. Confused...
