boss are overrated amplifiers but if its doing the job and owner is happy then let be it. he will have to redo the side panel to install another amplifier. A 4 channel jbl would have been preferred with the jbl mono.

1. Have you got something done for air circulation for the JBL amp? You might kill the amp if there is not enough ventilation.

2. How many layers of Dynamat?

3. I believe you need to check the power connections from the battery to amps. It does not even look 8 gauge to me. Not good for the such a high powered setup. Which brand are they anyways ?

4. As other members stated, the Boss amp is probably over-rated at 800 WRMS. Get rid of it man. It is pure injustice to the Polk components & the Alpine co-axials.

But, that is a fantastically done setup.

Thanks for chippin in with your views...

Thanks a lot for your valued inputs and compliments!

Contrary to what some of you are saying, Boss IQ series is quality stuff! Its never died on me and puts out clean, high power. Its a 400X4 amp and produces 200Watts RMS per channel. The amp looks puny and may not look hot, but believe me it kicks some serious arse!

In fact it performs much better than some bigger brand costly amps. Anyways I admit that Boss has got crap speakers and Headunits but their amps are not bad. Boss also owns the Roland group which makes world class electronic musical instruments so its not such a bad brand after all... especially when it comes to Amps. Its value for money too

Yeah I have retained my spare tyre which i can push out and pop in by lifting the base with a hinge. Still working on the lighting thing. Will finish this week and post new pics. Took me 1 week for the trunk installation with men at work on it full time...

No rattling after the dynamat dampin in the 4 doors and trunk, the polk components go very loud without even a hint of distortion! All the polks need to sound good is loads of power. Same goes for the polk subs. The bass is deep, tight and full of quality

The JVC head unit also puts out quality sound, much better than the crap headunit which came with the car... Finally yes, the stock steering wheel controls are now useless, but JVC came out with their own steering wheel audio controls which i fitted on mine so i am not complainin...

Nah, its from India, I bought the components from the store, but custom boot was DIY with a little help from some local carpenters!

I have used dynamat in the front doors and trunk. If I pump the bass high there is a light rattlin from the trunk but nothing unmanageable. You can also use sound dampening liquids which will fill the hollow spaces where you can't squeeze the dynamat in.
