well it lasted a couple of months till they gave in.. :(
now since you are using a 222 i think they wouldnt do too much harm.
i feel you should dedicate your amp to powering your sub and leave the speakers be.
its pointless to under power your sub as well as your speakers at the same time.

i think da 222 is around 35-50 rms and that pioneer sub is around 150 rms i think=underpowered!

just connect the amp to the speakers at very controlled settings..

No I understand that with respect to this car, although my post was OT, the question popped into my mind, and I posted the same.

What I mean is in the premium segments of automobiles these days, most manufacturers are offering premium sound systems. Therefore would one still refer to these speakers as "stock" since they come with the car, be it as standard or as an option. (understanding fully that many a time these OE systems are still nothing compared to their aftermarket brethren from the same companies.)
