Nice, by the looks of it I don't think your are going to be a budget audiophile for long. You have already done quite a few upgrades/changes, The ICE bug has bitten. Spill out the rest of the equipments.

Boy Oh boy, so far I though I m the only one with such fate. I mean parents, for them car is to be driven, not another fortune to be spent on it on upgrades. But my i-10 is with parents in India and there is no way my folks would allow me to spend any money on a car that is driven by them and maintained by me. I do have another car here in Auss and want to sp'ICE' it up but recent trip to India has left me completely broke [thanks to my spendthirftness and a grand family shopping spree]. wifey has shown her positive attitude towards my Aussi car upgrade but I have received strict instruction to wait for some more mullah inflow before I could lay my hands on any equipment. So, waiting & waiting till I get more cashflow....

Great going dude. You have got the musicians in the house, now let them start playing.

One thing that I always wanted to ask the Pros was. The car shape and surfaces make a difference, then how do you plan where what component goes to bring about the best experience. Bose plays this card a lot for its highend systems at home and in cars.

A detailed writeup will be perfect.

Thanks!

Good point, Sn1p3r. And very true as well.
Same equipment in a Skoda/WagonR/i20 can be completely different experiences, with the bass and tones going all over bouncing everywhere except in the listener's head.

Sound is important but acoustics is more important. So pair your equipment well after understanding the voice contours of the car.

Had a factory fitted BOSE 8 speaker system in my earlier car. Sound was divine. Had to shell out a lot more in EMI though :-)

But like sound system for home, go with the ear for your selections. The type of music you love to listen is also a factor. Listening mono retro songs like Rajkumar/MGR songs, on the best of systems, will hardly make much difference
