FM Transmitter for car.

Hi,

I have Punto E+. The HU doesnt come with remote. I am looking for FM modulator/transmitter (something like this: eBay India: 4in1 Wireless FM Transmitter w/ USB SD Slot & IR Remote (item 170426358027 end time 07-Jan-2010 17:30:01 IST)).
I inquired its price at some of the car electronics shops at KPHB, Hyderabad. They are quoting 700/-.
I am also looking for air pressure guage.
Can somebody suggest me where can I get decent quality FM transmitter and pressure gauge in Hyderabad?

Try Carbon brand, it comes with 6 months warranty. The sound quality and coverage area is very good. I have been using it for sometime now, in Bangalore it costs about Rs.600.

Hey Maven

I had used the same FM Transmitter that you have mentioned in your post in my previous car Fiat Palio 1.9 D for almost 2 years.I got it from a foreign goods shop nearby my house for almost 1200 Rs/- about 2-2.5 years ago.I had faced no troubles with the FM Transmitter and it served me well.

Anyway do check out for more brands and products before making your decision

Animdas, its available at all car accessory showrooms, I bought it from Hyper Carz on Hosur Road next to Kropex. Its already more than a year now and its still working fine. The price has dropped now, it should be around Rs.400 now for the one which can also read from MicroSD card.
There isn't any noise with the output and it is a VFM product.

I too have an FM transmitter for my Figo, but frankly the clarity comes nowhere close to the original cd/dvd or usb played.
The device very specifically picks up interferences in places like High Tension Cables, transmitter towers and also places with high radiowaves.
I have stopped using the device altogether now, due to the above mentioned issues.

Hi,

I bought a simple 3.5mm jack input FM modulator with frequency output adjust. I use it with my blackberry. Cost INR 450.

The caller is heard on the car speakers, while the blackberry is affixed to the windshield using a vacuum holder. This lets me listen in to long conference calls, that do not need me to speak.
