Vivek has already done that. Read as CCTB. He did not even need mclaren's help.

I used to think I was the king of the crazies then I met my neighbours. I used to think I was the king of the nutty DIYers (atleast in India) then I see Vivek's CCTB. I surrender.

These boys from Bangalore are bananas. In xx years of DIYing I have never seen anything so wierd. I cant get it out of my mind, my libido has gone to pot, and I cant sleep.

ahahahahaha!! Now thats a funny one!
By the way Bose sells maximum speakers in Nayi Dilli, where all the people think Bose is the beginning and end of all things that sound fantastic.
And they are doing Balle Balle all the way to the bank. At Connaught Place.

I actually had a guy come to the showroom and tell me "you can try to impress me with all this harman/kardon, but I must tell you that my ears have been spoiled by the sweet sound of Bose, so nothing will sound as good as that, ever"

I felt like wanted to hit him on the head with his stupid acoustimass. heh heh

So I couldnt agree with you more Gunman. Bose will always do what they are good at. Making radios, suspensions for cars and making ch**iyas out of people.

Hahahha. So true my man... If only I had a $ for every guy who said that. Our Dilliwallas seem to have a fetish for the Direct/Reflecting crap Bose doles out. Of course, B&O is this months flavor of crap right now...

Why not? Use the cardboard box as a former. Add a couple of layers of plywood and fibreglass. There you have it. A strong custom made box. Better than the nonsense you get in the market.

Yes you can do that. Use teh CCTB box as a former and cover it with resin bonded fiberglass. plywood would not be needed.

I was even thinking layers and layers of newspaper to make a strong shell kind of thing.

But the only problem in using the small box is that the internal volume might be too small for the JBL 936s.
