In dash touch screen with support for GPS, bluetooth for new Scorpio

I couldn't find much information on touch screen in dash Head units (even with an advanced search) and thus the new post. I've bought a new Scorpio and would like your advice on the best setup for a budget of 45K. I already have a pioneer sub woofer, an XPlod amp and JBL oval speakers for the rear. None of this is installed yet. So the budget is for the components, wiring, HU and installation too. I've done some research on JVC, Pioneer and Eclipse. I don't think I can get my hands on the latter. Do let me know if you think I should try other options too. I intend to install a rear camera later and would prefer it if the HU is rear camera ready. Same with GPS. I also prefer a rear USB and ipod connectivity. I know both Pioneer and JVC have remote steering controls that can be purchased separately. One installer said it would not be a good idea to mount the ovals on the rear door as the sound would be muffled. Do let me know about the positioning of the speakers. I notice that there is an option for smaller speakers (tweeters?) above the last row in the refreshed Scropio. My scropio is an 8 seater. Over to the gurus...

71 views and still no help
One installer says JVC supports GPS while another says it does not. One installer says JVC can be hooked up to the existing steering controls (including bluetooth) without additional hardware, while another says NOT!
HELP

Even if you get a unit with GPS, it would be hard to source Maps for the unit.

Units come preloaded with UA/Canada maps, and unless Unit is capable of running generic GPS packages, it would not be usable in India.

In US, such units retail for $400 - $1500.

Ford endeavour comes with an HU that has satnav etc. It might be worth checking with accessory store in Ford dealership to see if they sell that separately.

Sat guide has this to offer: In-Car Navigation
I'm guessing it is Chinese as there is no manufacturer info given
But I'm looking for Pioneer, Kenwood or JVC. Even if it does not come with in built GPS, I wouldn't mind adding a receiver later.

Chinese units are the best in terms of GPS but not in terms of Audio quality and build.

These are best since you can purchase updated India maps for just 2200 Rs and run those on this Unit.

Other units (Pioneer / JVC / Blau) use custom software and maps and it is not easy to upgrade.

EDIT : Street price for Chinese HU with touch screen + GPS is around 15,000.

Carputer is a good idea if you are comp inclined. Else I would suggest you get a good in dash touch screen HU and get a stand alone GPS.

I was looking at the US ebay site Global Easy Buy and one of the features mentioned for the JVC 820 says steering wheel remote ready. Does that mean the wired remote controls on the Scorpio can be connected without any additional hardware?

Does anyone know if the RGB Input 26 pin is a must to connect any GPS unit? I was just comparing systems and on the Pioneer web site, it says the AVH p4150 is navigation ready. AVH-P4150DVD

Nope. You would have to purchase a JVC steering remote and clamp it on to to your steering wheel.

Have you looked at the Kenwood DDX7034BT? I think this has all the features that you need.

I may also put one in my Scorpio if it fits my budget.
