Hi JK,

Good attempt...but there are certain things you should have avoided.

1. It appears you have run your power cables along with the signal cables. This can cause interference. I hope they are together as in the picture and not running parallel from the front of the car.

2. Always mount the tweeter on the outside than on the inside. It will give you better imaging and will not mix the stereo information in the high frequency area.

3. I believe you have screwed the amplifier directly on the plastic panel...with time the vibrations from road abnomalities will cause the amplifier to fall down. I will suggest that you open the panel and use some mdf panel to mount the amp or atleast use speaker locks.

JB, dont burst his bubble dude.

1. while you are at the mods JB suggested i suggest you install the amp using all 4 screws (you seemed to have missed atleast 1). I used a sheet of 6mm hard rubber between the amp and the car seat. i am not sure if the panel you mounted to amp on will take the strain over bumps and potholes.

2. while installing the tweeter will give better imaging i find that often the car cleaners in their zeal to clean the car knock the tweeter off. so be aware of that.

3. i did not see power cables running along RCA cables. if so you should find a different route for the power and RCA cables. Speaker cables and RCA cables can be run alongside.

wil get my book only on monday. dont wnat 2 drive 50kms to get one today :D

I want to buy one cd player for my Esteem, my budget is only Rs.10K, i had seen Sony 5510 system (Rs.6000), sony 350W speaker Rs.2400, and sony 100W speker Rs.600. All without bill, will this be ok, will i require sun-woofer, amplifier, tuter etc. What about, pioneer, jvc, kenwood, boshman and other compiteters. Please help me in getting best possible system in this budget.

what is boshman. i never head of it.

if your budget is 10K get a sony CD HU for 5-6K. Add some nice coax speakers in the front. then get simple 5" (whatever fits the rear speaker pod) for the rear. You can then add a sub and external amp later.
