Guyz!
That poor Soomokooo guy does'nt need so much bashing. Please leave him alone. I just went to a shop to ask about this brand and the moment they heard the name, I only heard laughter. And I think it was more clear than any bass note produced by any boom box! (Yes, I mean laughter here). :D

BTW, MR VIKRAM, HERE'S A QUESTION WHICH JUST NEEDS A YES OR NO:
DO TOU HAVE ANY INVOLVEMENT IN THIS SUMOKOO BRAND OR PALESHA IN ANY WAY?

I think he has mentioned very clearly in post 46 he is not associated with the brand !

Vikram,

Velodyne jointly developing product with Soomoku, I find this statement real bull****.

I know Velodyne inside out. And have used almost all of their products waiting to lay my hands on their reference 1812. They are one of the best subwoofer manufacturers in the world along REL, Bag End and others. Being experts in the subwoofer manufacturing I don´t think they will develop products with any other company.

Moreover they stopped manufacturing car audio products way back. They used to make excellent subs for car audio which came with dedicated servo controller. They are favs of many serious audiophiles incl. me :p . Used to retail for USD 900, very hard to find now.

people if one person finds a product good let be it. he HAS spent his money and he cannot get it back and by reminding him that he has purchased a bad product which he think is fine to him then this is a very bad thing buy pulling his leg.....

Ofcourse! FOR SHORE ;) I agree!

But when a person emphasise some products more than once and that too in a very fishy manner, even going to the edges by speaking about doing R&D etc.. then it's natural we T-BHPians jump on that. And to add salt to the woes, the mentioned product by itself already has a bad name!
T-BHPians are not so easily forgiving either. No matter what brand or where it stands. Just see how much the Sony and Xplods are hated here.

So, guyz! Let sumokoo be what it is. The forum in no way can be used for marketing this sort of stuff or any.

I think one has learnt his lesson fully and any bhpian will never by a sumukoo sub ever.......mods plz do the needfull here and bless all the bhpians.......

Untill I get more reliable infomation on Palesha I'm closing this thread. I will try and find out from friends in Pune but dont hold your breath guys.

This thread has been reopened, and here is the context-
Soomoku somehow got attention of gurus once again, see this:

Some time back it was also discussed in "the" ICE thread, but unfortunately that too was as controversial as this thread itself (or may be even more!)-

I was suggested to share some information that I had regarding soomoku products, so I am posting it here for whatever worth it may be. Note that it is several months old leaflet, I have no idea if anything has changed (price or otherwise).

I was told that most of these products are not "great" per se, but provide a decent sound at a very affordable cost. 8" boxed sub selling the most. Similarly, subs in DSW series are claimed to provide excellent value in a higher league of sound quality. All the fuss in the past originated due to a positive feedback about DSW300B (12") sub. Forgive me for bad scanning, it is the 2nd one from top-right in the 2nd image ("3" is missing there!)

Regarding claims of brand A doing "R&D" with brand B or C, no wonder people would get irritated by such statements! But I have a counter argument, it is very much likely that brand A might be doing OEM to B and/or C, and in the process becomes familiar with key know-hows (which may include R&D also). Then A can use that expertise and provide same services or important components to some other company or spin out their own products. Disclaimer: I am just giving a general opinion, absolutely not claiming anything about soomoku, velodyne or audiobahn, hope that is clear;)
