My new car Head Unit - P99RS !!!

Was getting a Itch of upgrading my Head Unit for a long time. Was thinking to go for a HU which supports 4-way since I am running it 4-way active setup. There are very few HU in the market which supports this feature. Few are Clarion HX-D2, Alpine F-1 combo, Pioneer P9 combo and the new Pioneer P99RS maybe few more...

The price of Alpine F-1 and Pioneer P9 was to high for me now so I rather decided to go for some thing CHEAPER. So I had to choose between Clarion HX-D2 and Pioneer P99RS. The choice was very simple..the Clarion had only one problem or draw back that is only Audio CD playback. I have loads of Audio cd lying with me but I hate to carry them along with me every time. Since the technology has advance a lot Pioneer had made a very nice HU which I can say it the HU with all the latest option. It can play MP3/Audio CD/WMA/WAV all through IPOD/USB pendrive/CD. And that is a very good job done by Pioneer. It also has 4 way active option with all the necessary tuning tools needed by Audiophiles. In all it is a very good Head Unit.

Now few pics...

Just bought a 32GB pendrive and putting wav files in it.....

Have not got time to do extend listing sessions till now. But will surely share the difference between the P80 + H701 combo and P99 in few days time.

In which price bracket does this HU fall in? I don't dare ask the exact price considering my cardiac condition!

Congratulations, o great master of the 4-way kind! How about updating with a few pics of your speaker placement?

And when do you intend to change your ancient Swift? I am sure the chassis and the body joints would be close to giving up under the brutal assault of all these years!

Congrats LBM!

For Auto EQ, is the same puny microphone provided, or something better?

It is in 50k+ range. I would have shared the speaker placements and other details but it will conflict with forums interest.
