I have exchanged the Boston s60 semi covered grills with fully covered grills. Completed packing for the boot door for removing jarring or vibrations also.

Please find the pictures of grills after replacement.

I have fixed a grill for the sub also. Was looking for polk Sub grill, but got only a hertz sub grill.

The Sub with the grill in the boot..

IMHO keep the 475a its anyday much superior than the 8401 if you wish to change it look into options from Harmon (if available)kappa 4 or alpine

Guys,

As you all know I have JBL GTO 948 in custom made boxes in the boot. They are good in their job. But I would like to seek suggestion regarding fitting the 948's on the boot door? Remember my sub is facing the boot door too, so how the performance will be? Will the air beams from my sub will damage the 948's?

This will help me to save more space in my boot, so that I can keep a baby pram and all. Thats the sweet reason

LOL No, the 'air beams' from the sub will not damage the 948s if they mounted on the boot door! There are no 'air beams' from the sub.

If you are taking your baby in the car, do turn the music down.

Infant under 3 are far more suspectible to loud noises as well as flashes of light hence keep the volume down to under 90db (85 is preferable) and do not use direct flash (only bounce or diffused) till he/she is atleast 2 years old (preferably 3).

85db is the sound of a regular active conversation amongst a gorup of 3-5 people. When it is just 2 people talking the SPLs are usually under 80db (if both ahve normal hearing and are not excited/upset).

Nice ICE Brother . Congrats! I will be auditioning Infinity reference and Boston at EVO this weekend! I need to see which gives me more "BOOM" as I won't be going for a sub. Enjoy the music!

Cheers!
